We do get along. I appreciate a lot of things about them. It took a while to get there though as there used to be some codependency going on. Nothing major, but his mom did a lot of little things for him that were unnecessary for a woman to do for her grown son (running his errands, doing his laundry, etc.) The apron strings have since been cut though.

NO NO NO, I hate them so much and they hate too. I can't stand them. They're haters. And my MIL is a b!*h.

I don't talk to them it's been more then 3 years already! and I will NEVER talk to them again. Sometimes I see them face to face we don't talk.

The first time I met my ILs it was my wedding... awkward!! Especially since I was 5 months pregnant!! We had been dating for several years but they lived in a different state so I had never met them. We get along just fine now... now that I know them I think they were probably embarrassed that their son had knocked me up I think I am really lucky that I get along with them so well... especially considering how things started. It probably helps that they don't have a daughter and their other son will probably never get married.

i get along withs iblings in laws but prob bc i donts ee/talk to them that often. FIL is ok, but i dont like his personality but we are civil. MIL...lets just say we get along when she plays her 'sweet old lady' routine. thru the yrs i always thought she was great, nice, sweet, but i learned there is a sneaky cunnng side to her. that dh refuses to acknowledge.. ;-) she s that good!

Oh this is funny to read, great Q! My DH totally got the short end of the stick marrying me, 'cause his parents ROCK, and my parents... umm. Well you know if you can't say anything nice ...

So yes, I love my IL's and we get along very well. I wish they had been the ones responsible for my childhood... then my memories of it would be a LOT better, LOL!

I liked my MIL but she passed away nearly 5 years ago. I really don't like one of my SIL's...the other 2 are fine. My FIL is a bit backward thinking....a bit too much for my liking but we only see him once in awhile. All in all I never see them so it's not that bad!

Too funny!! The first time I had met some of his family I too was knocked up...at my wedding....LOL! I was 4 months preggo when we got hitched and we'd only been together for 9 months before I got pregnant. My hubby is a hunter so it literally was a shotgun wedding..LOL

We get along okay but my MIL is so controlling I can't stand her sometimes. she also gets wasted with my daughters around and proceeds to cry all over them OR walk out of the house and disappear. great role model huh? my FIL is really nice but is just quiet and to himself. my SIL is a spoiled brat that still lives at home at 31 and my BIL we never talk to or see, oh but when we do he is usually stoned out of his mind so pretty hard to talk to.
