My OB is leaving!

I am really disappointed. I have been going to the same OB/GYN for the past 8 years and LOVE her! I just got a letter in the mail that said she is leaving the practice at the end of the year to start her own GYN only business. I am so bummed. I really like her and like that I can talk easily to her and she gets me. The others in the practice are OK, but they are more business, in and out types that don't take the time to talk to you like she does. I know I can switch and go to her with my normal yearly visits, but I hate to not have her as my OB when I get preggo with this one.

I'm sorry about your OB leaving. It's hard to have to start all over again for pregnancy. I had to do that myself, luckily with my OB's help I found another OB I feel good about but it's not the same. It's sad when they decide it's time to retire from obstetrics, for whatever reason. I wish you the best in finding a new OB when the time comes.
