Oh I think I CAN have a boy... I actually think EVERYONE can have either gender, I've really never doubted that. I just don't believe that I WILL have a boy. You know? I mean, FIL is 1 of 10 but his parents had 4 girls first (like you and TTC5!) but went on to have 4 more boys! So I think it's just a matter of what side the coin lands on, I really do. And for a long time, I thought I would have boys. I thought it so strongly that I really couldn't believe it when I heard girl three times, it just boggled my mind that I was so wrong. So I guess now I've realized that my "gut" is not in line with my reality. My reality is I have three daughters.
Whenever people say anything to DH about not having a son he says "if I want a boy I'll have a boy." And he means it ... if it's THAT important, we'll either adopt or duggar it out. We make babies easier than most people make pancakesThey just keep coming out girls

ELP - you are never going to give up on #6 for us are you? lol Sorry but the IUD is in for the long haul
Wow that sleeping situation sounds..um..busy lol I'm with Flava, I like my bed with as few people as possible.
I'm really hoping this first AF was a bit of a fluke and from here on out it'll be better. I'm battling a pretty ugly cold so I think some of the crap is from that.
Flava - I would certainly rather give formula then have my baby be hungry, I got very close to having to supplement with Charlie. I was never able to lose weight while BF either till this time around, it's going paleo that's done it for me. My neighbor looked like she'd never had a baby two weeks after her 3rd was born thanks to BF, I hate her lol
I agree lots of ladies have left never to return, lots!
B - I never thought I would have a boy either"We make babies easier than most people make pancakes"
Us too but holy crap I just peed a little!

Jen I have the same deal with my cycle! Before kids I had NO cramping, and it was light and brief ... with each child I've had it has gotten more painful and longer
I'm dreading my 1st post partum AF ... I usually get a solid 10 month reprieve due to breastfeeding but with DD3 coming up on 9 months it won't be too much longer! Anyhow ... Charlie is A DOLL so I agree with ELP. One more for you
And I do love "determined DD!" Such a fun twist on it!
Hobbs I AM a loser, LOL ... it's ok to admit when we've lost. I lost at having a boy but I won at having a daughter (again) so... y'know. It has been nice though, with the acceptance of being a girl mom (GAG) I don't really have the gender disappointment I used to have. DD1 is my beloved tomboy, but DD2 practically sweats glitter, and I'm ok with that. I love her for being who she is even if it's not my kinda thing. So it's been good bc my disappointment has really faded. But the gender desire is as strong as ever so?!?
We have several friends who have adopted! Our neighbors actually adopted 2 boys internationally, and I like the idea of adopting a pair so that when they feel different (bc they will) they have someone they can relate to. I used to daydream about adoption when I was a little girl bc I was sure I would never get married, and so I saw myself as an uber-successful single woman who would adopt bc I wanted kids but not marriageMy DD1 always says she's never getting married and I just laugh ... watch her get married at 21 ... and then be ELP and give me a whole buncha grandkids
Hobbs I'm so happy you had your DS2! Was DS1 excited for a brother?
Flava how have your girls been with DS1? And I KWIM re: others who totally left. I probably won't be a regular by any means (DH is out of town this week so I want people to talk to at night) but I don't know that I'll really truly leave for good. Been through so much with y'all.
Dloui do y'all have a name for your little guy? Hope you're hanging in there!

i don't know if anyone remembers me but i wanted to pop in with an update. michael is almost 6 months old now. he is such a happy baby. he never cries, he sleeps through the night. his big sisters are all so in love and so is his mama. and despite all the early complications i had and tons of steroids he's soo tiny. 13lbs so he's kinda small, i tell him i know babies who weigh more at birth then him. but he's meeting all his milestones. we have to be careful about formula, he had an awful allergic reation a few weeks ago when we stopped breastfeeding. thankfully its all cleared up and now we can focus on crawling! thanks again everyone
