There's absolutely a chance from that. Yes possibly it was too long out, but you're still in with a chance.

Hopefully one of the attempts made it.

The reason I don't chart is because I'm often up in the night for ds2 as he needs resettling. I also get up at a different time each day. I will try to chart next month though, see if I can. I am also slightly obsessing about it all and charting will give me another obsession!

If you had attempts Fri and Sat too, even if there wasn't anything or much on Sun, I think you're in it to win it.

Hi Atomic, I really hope so. Going to have a break over Christmas and start diet jan, ttc February. Hopefully I won't have to.

DH really wasn't very well last few days. Again too much info, but he 'helped himself' and finished off in me both fri and sat. So it was very shallow too, which would lower odds. But I did drop jump and dump and lime this month. (DH would hate me typing all this, thank god for Internet anonymity!!)

    Thanks for posting

I'm with you on DH not having anything left! This month we're taking out frequency entirely. I know from our history we're not all that fertile, and we certainly aren't younger, lol. I think for my DH that all this FR is just too draining and I've been on the LE diet for a long time now so we're just skipping the FR entirely.
Thanks for this Lace, we have done FR for the last two attempts, and if it doesn't give a BFP, I don't think my DH will be able to do FR for next month. We are also not on the younger side, and DH says if we don't get BFP soon we should rethink trying altogether. So my question to you would be when is the CD that I should really DTD/BD? Is it on O, O-1? We are both teachers so the only time is at nighttime after DS1 and DS2 have gone to bed.

    Thanks,

Lace, I am thinking we skip fr next month too. It's the one thing that is stressing DH out. It's difficult isn't it to balance everything. But I wonder if we bd every two days and I do jump and dump reasonably quickly, if that will still reduce the little swimmers enough. I'm the least patient person ever!

I do sort of track Ewcm, in that I get 7 days of it, so make a note when it starts.

Thank you so much for posting lace, you are always on here with such common sense and honesty, thank you.

Hah, well, I say I'm using my powers for obsession for good over here, lol.

Honestly, if this month is a no go, just skip the FR entirely. If, as you say, you guys aren't spring chickens, you've got to worry about not having many years to mess around with. And if DH isn't young his numbers are probably already lower than a younger fella.

Frequency isn't a big sway factor and if you've done a few months with FR then it's likely that FR is making the count TOO low. I'm dumping the FR entirely as me and DH aren't that fertile in the first place (all our other boys took minimum 4 cycles with no abstain, no FR and perfect timing).

Your best chances for conception is actually the day BEFORE O. Not even O day, go figure. It's because the sperm take a number of hours to swim up and they also have to go through a chemical process to be able to penetrate the egg, all of which can take upwards of 12+ hours. So you can see how if you BD on O day, by the time the sperm are ready and waiting the egg might've already popped, dropped, and gone, lol. Most conceptions actually happen from bd'ing the day preceding O, which in many ladies corresponds with a one day temp dip and the day of highest EWCM. Mother Nature knows her stuff.

For best chances BD from +OPK (which will be 1-2 days before O) and BD daily through O+1 or your temp rise. For the rest of the month have DH release no farther apart than every 3-4 days so his stuff doesn't get too stale while waiting.

Lace, we're only on cycle 2, but I'm so impatient, eek. I'm such a worrier, I've spent the last four months deciding what blinds to put up in our new kitchen! So, being on such a restrictive diet isn't good for my karma I'm desperate to be able to go out for a meal and just order what I want, without worrying I'm blowing everything.

But both our boys were conceived on first cycles, so I was sort of starting out with high expectations too! And DS2 was from BD 7 days before a positive OPK (hubby was away during the textbook 'few days before'), so I was a bit shocked I got pregnant that month.

But that was over 3 and a half years ago and the big 36 is creeping up on me.

Next cycle, as I get so many days of EWCM, I'm going to BD every day / every other day from when it first starts, or even on day 15 (I usually ovulate around day 22, but was day 20 this month).

Thanks again, FX you fall soon.

For me, this is cycle 2 as well. And we are impatient as well. I'm turning 36 this coming year and DH will be turning 43. We had DS1 6.5yrs old, and DS2 3.5 yrs old. The only problems we had before were that I have a prolactinoma and so I'm on meds and did the OPK and when it was + DTD and we were able to get pregnant on first cycles for both.

I have no idea if my medicine, Cabergoline, sways in any way. I haven't found any information. But what I do know is that I used refresh this cycle and i can't for the life of me tell if it's ewcm or refresh. Plus I usually feel the mittelshmerz (pain in ovary) but didn't this month, so no idea if I ovulated or not. I'm a bio teach so I should know all of the ins and outs, but when it comes to your own body all of that goes out the window :-).

So pretty much I think I might have 1 or 2 more cycles left in me if I don't get a BFP on 12/24.

Good luck!!! I have the same issues as all of you ladies! I'm 34 so i am not as young as I was with my other 3. With ds1 I got pg while on the pill, with Ds2 1st cycle after iud removal and ds3 2 cycles after iud removal. I'm now on cycle 2 after iud removal but things don't "feel" the same anymore. I'm worried I might not even ovulate this time because i got my 1st +opk about 4 days ago and all the other CM CP signs too but my temp never went up. If my temp doesn't go up tomorrow I'm thinking I might not ovulate. My cycle is ALWAYS 25 days! Good luck, keep us updated!i hope you get your BFP! I think you've got a good shot!
