I know they say to eat white rice, but I also think I read that whole grains are good for swaying pink... and I do like whole grain rice and whole grain pasta, are those "safe" on the diet?

Actually, just white rice and low sodium everything. Basic pasta which already has some vitamins/minerals but not anything fortified with anything extra for swaying pink.

I suggest you guys use white rice and pasta because it's not fortified with anything, is lower protein, and it also causes your blood sugar to drop lower after eating it. It won't kill a sway to use whole grains though but be aware that whole grains have phytic acid and may cause some cal-mag to leach from your system.

Well, parboiling drives most of the nutrients into the rice itself so I would tend to think that just white rice would be better. However, at some point it all gets very nitpicky and overly restrictive, so I"m sure it's probably just fine to eat it.
