Dreaming I am so glad to hear all went well and baby was healthy. Congrats to you! What did your son say when you told him??

He was very happy He was convinced as much as I was that it was a boy, so it was just a confirmation for him too. We went christmas shopping and I was tempted to buy something but didn't get anything yet.

Oh dreaming - am sorry you didnt hear girl but brothers are amazing - if this is your last baby its probably a blessing as boys can be so much closer than a brother and sister - they will grow up together and be able to go off and do stuff together that maybe a brother and sister couldnt do. BUT REMEMBER - There is still a chance she pops out a she :-)

Dreaming congratulations on your healthy blue bean. If I was only having 2 then I think I would prefer the same gender for the bond between the two brothers or sisters.

Aww Dreaming, 2 boys are so special together. The relationship that my boys have with eachother is really beautiful, I'm not entirely sure my eldest could've had this bond with anyone else but DS2. Congrats and enjoy your boys!

Thank you Jadis I know they're gonna be great pals especially when they grow up. My son will be much older than this little one but I see how he gets along well with his little cousins, so I'm quite sure he'll care for his little brother so much

Dreaming, there's almost 9 years between my brother and I. While we don't have much in common at the moment (he's a wild university student and I'm a married, mortgaged, soon-to-be mother of 3), we've always been close. I'm fiercely protective of him and he knows it. He may go 2 weeks without calling me but when he needs an ear or a shoulder to lean on, I'm #1 on his speed dial. The age difference can be magical, congrats again.

I could have written this myself - we will not be finding out the sex either as i want thta little bit of hope right until the end plus a friend had a baby last week and was told at 16 weeks and 20 weeks it was a girl and she called me from hospital to say there was a mix up and she is coming home with a boy can i try and change some of her stuff for her before they get back !! Made me realise even more that it can still be wrong !!

I think that would be even harder for me then just finding out that it is a boy at birth. I am also going green we did for the other 3 and I wouldn't dream of doing it any other way.
