Total Thyroidectomy and swaying pink...

Hey ladies. I am new to this sight and was just curious if anyone else has had a TT and done ok with a sway. And for that matter...been ok with there fertility? Any advice or help would be appreciated. I am 6w post OP...so still working things out. I am not going to start to try for my girl till July 2013...so plenty of time! ;-) Thanks-Heidi

OH yeah...I have Four beautiful boys ages 6,5,3 and 9m. I am so desperate for a girl! I get ONE more attempt and then we are done..so gotta make it a good one! LOL

I do know it's possible and have read about it online (as I'm sure you have as well) and hoping someone can help to shed some light on it for you!!!

In terms of swaying I would NOT take supps like vitex and saw palmetto because they can have an effect on thyroid hormones and since you need your levels to stay steady, it's just best not to mess with it.

What does your doctor say about what kind of diet you should be eating?

I can eat whatever I want. I am currently on the hcg diet...very similar to the LE diet and he said that was fine. Trying to loose 80-100lbs. Not TTCing till January of 2014 or so...so have time to heal, get levels right an loose this weight.
