    Opk+

Ok it seems like everyone is doing this. Can someone run me through the basics of this? Or is there a thread? My first ttc I temped and found easy. I've always avoided this opk stuff as it sounded really complex but I think with ttc girl it may be needed so you find out before not after O right?? Thanks!

Yep you can grab a heap of cheap opks from ebay or amazon. They are pretty much the same as pregnancy tests in that you just dip them in urine and wait to see the result. You will want to start testing 2 or 3 days before you expect to ovulate. You will see 2 lines appear on the test one is the control line and the other is the result line. When you are about to ovulate the result line will be the same colour or darker than the control line. When you see this you know ovulation is between 12 - 36 hours away. A negative test will be one that the result line is lighter than the control line or you may even get no result line. It sounds complicated but it is really not.

do you need to do at certain time or day? i seem to recall this in TTC forums in past

and also there was debate about not drinking too much or not enough or is that not really a factor?

It is recommended that you do the test in the afternoon and not with fmu. You should try to do it at the same time each day. Also holding your pee for 2 hours before you do the test will give you a more accurate result. I think confusion sets in when people go overboard with the testing and take multipul tests in a day and at different times and use different brands. It does not have to be done that much but for some reason poas can become addictive.

Looks negative the controls there!! The sticker bit is were the pee gets absorbed you don't remove it. Just dip up to the line on the arrows and lay flat and wait! HTH
    Hoping for a pink rainbow!

I'm confused. I see a line where the designated preg indicator line should be.. isn't the sticker that white thing and the test part is the off white part?

Your not supposed to remove sticker bit or any bit,you just dip the test into the sample up to that blue line for about 5 seconds then lie the test stick down and check the result after 10 mins.
