My doc doesn't do checks unless you want her to. I had one with Ds1 but only because I asked. This time I'm asking from 37 weeks as we're trying to determine cs date as I'm worried about laboring early and rupture as I Ds2 was 8 days early, thank goodness as he was a whopper lol

We don't get any cervical checks or gestational diabetes checks here unless there is cause for concern. Must admit I'm relieved at that for the cervical checks lol!

Had my midwife appointment yesterday and everything is looking good, bump wise I'm pretty much spot on the same line that I've been following throughout and so far I've put on about 4.5kg which isn't too bad.
My bump seriously looks like I have swallowed a watermelon though, it is rock solid and all out front. I'm not totally sure which way round the baby is but the midwife thinks he is head down so fingers crossed.
I should be getting a scan appointment through for the middle of Feb when I will be 32 weeks to check his position and do some more measurements etc. I'm really looking forward to that, hoping everything is ok and just glad I get to confirm the gender again before he arrives as I know a part of me keeps wondering if they have got it wrong. I seem to hear everyone's stories at the moment about someone they know who were told a girl or a boy and it ended up being the opposite when they were born!
Plus ds2 keeps telling me I've got two babies in my tummy so it will be reassuring to double check there is def only one lol!
How is everyone else doing? Are you all managing to sleep ok at night?
I'm really struggling to get comfy, and totally ready for the Spring now and lighter mornings. It is getting so hard to get out of bed in the morning when it is so dark and cold. Super glad we are having an April baby this time! xxDS1 - 4.5yrsDS2 - 3yrs

'Morning sickness' has made a comeback so my peri arranged for an alternative to the glucola, I hope I'm able to keep it down a little easier. I was told to fast..
Sleep can be hit or miss, but otherwise I'm thrilled to almost be in the third trimester! Can't wait for Spring either, I'm over this cold weather already.

Had my anatomy scan today -- everything was measuring spot on though the tummy was a little bigger (but still within range - must have been all that American food I ate for a month...)... oh, and it's still a girl. I was nervous about that! My bladder was so full that she was sort of scrunched up - woops, sorry baby!

I've been having trouble sleeping, partly because that's when this LO decides its time to wake up, and partly because I've been fighting cold symptoms since the middle of December :/ I can't wait to be able to sleep again!

Not to feed anybody's worry, but a good friend of mine just had a baby 3 weeks ago. She already has a dd, and was told she was having a boy this time. She's had 2 u/s her whole pregnancy, and out popped another little girl. I've only heard stories of someone who knows someone who had a gender mistake. This is the first person I know very well that had this experience.
