so I wanted to quickly update on my weight loss. I had a tough time with hubby( he is about to loose his job) and I the worries were making me eat less then ever. I had my daily courgette with mushrooms and one slice of toast, little parmesan for flavor and one pealed pear at 11 o clock everyday -never breakfast. two cup of coffee with milk after and a half of a bar of chocolate. I came up to 700 cal and added another joghurt with strawberries and crackers and every second day some spaghetties with butter and majonaise to the mix, plus an apple skin off. I also had a pretty decent food situation at christmas, binging cheese bread cake mousse au chocolat, but still kept loosing weight, so I am pretty worried since I found out this morning that my weight went down to 89 pounds. I had been sick as hell with sinus etc and took antibiotics for the last two weeks/ I am not sure if I can get hubby to make nr 3. by end of april if he will loose his job.
So any ideas how I can hold weight without loosing and still sway? today I binged 2600 calories eating waffles, my noon meal 2 cups of spagettie, chocolate pudding, ice cream, chocolate, and one can of wip cream
.
yesterday the doctor did the cryo at the cervix to reduce mucus for the future. He told me he would reccomend clomid starting CD 5 instead of CD3 and a trigger shot! please can anyone tell me if the trigger sways pink???? he said this way I know that egg released and I wont miss it. what u think??? thanks!!! btw, hubby thinks I look disgusting anoraxic, we haven't had sex for month now and he's got problems to get it up. more worries....

At 89 pounds, you likely will not ovulate. You should really try to get to a normal/healthy weight.

I agree with NBP. We do not advocate unhealthy eating habits nor promote anything that will lead to disordered thinking regarding food. I am frightened for you, you are SEVERELY underweight. I am shorter than you (5 feet even) and I find myself scarily thin at 103, and below 100 I would be a skeleton. I was flirting with losing my ovulation at 106lbs. I have no idea how in the world you could possibly still have a healthy menstrual cycle and I am shocked that any doctor in the world wouldn't be addressing your underweight issues first before talking about fertility treatments.
Please, please focus on getting to a HEALTHY weight first and forget anything to do with TTC. If you're not ovulation/menstruating right now you shouldn't be throwing clomid at it, you should be getting to a healthy weight first and foremost.
Also, your pattern of binge eating and starvation is not normal. Again I am no doctor so it isn't my place to diagnose anything, but that sends up some huge red flags.Me (38) and DH (38)

I'm 5'6 and 100lbs (I was down at 98lbs one week ago) and I stopped ovulating. I decided to chill from the diet a bit and went out and had a buger/fries/coke meal - first one in MONTHS and the next day I ate lots of cakey dessert that I made and I actually O'd the next day. My body was definitely in shock from the weight loss and I think at this point you have to realize what's more important - I decided that for me my health and a baby was top priority - If I get blessed with a girl that's great.. if not, I don't care. I'm still sticking to the no breakfast, no snacking and most of the rules - no meat etc. but I'm definitely having way more cals than before - mostly in the form of desserts like cookies etc. and it's helped my weight to go up 2 lbs so far. I think when it gets to this point (speaking from experience) the sway has gone too far and you need to back off. It's almost impossible to do the strict sway that is suggested when you are already super underweight like I was because naturally I kept losing and losing. I think you can do as much as you can do and then leave it because it's not worth messing up your cycles and risking your health to *maybe* get your girl.. you know what I mean? No judgement hear as I'm literally in the same situation as you.. just hashing out my recent realizations

Thanks everyone for your advice. I noticed that I started developing an eating disorder. I am trying now to hold steady by eating more noodles and cake( I am already eating chocolate cakes etc after lunch) but it seems like only my good old habbit of eating pizza (thats how I made my boys;-) will keep me gaining. I wish though atomic could tell me if the trigger after clomid would sway pink.

89 pound IMO for 5.2 in not too bad. Depending on your health though. I conceived ds1. When I was around that weight but I was eating healthy foods.just less of it, and I'm 5.3.

According to the Mayo clinic, it is a BMI of 16.3- under 18.5 is considered underweight.
----------
Being underweight may weaken your immune system and put you at risk of osteoporosis. Ask your doctor what you can do to achieve a healthier weight or to address unexpected weight loss. For better health:
Embrace healthy eating by choosing a variety of nutrient-rich foods, including fruits, vegetables and whole grains and energy-dense foods like olive oil, nuts and dried fruits.
Eat between-meal healthy snacks — whole-grain crackers and nuts, for example — to increase calories.
Exercise. Your doctor may recommend strength training to promote lean muscle development and increase your weight in a healthy way.

Amy, I'm so relieved to hear that. IMO, and when Atomic has time maybe she can back me up on this, your priority right now needs to be to get back to a healthy weight. The low end of 'normal' BMI is around 18, and you need to be at at least 100lbs to be within low end of normal.
You might very well find that everything normalizes as soon as you gain some weight. And you also should consider gaining weight with a more well rounded menu, not just empty carbs and sugars. Even if you do gain weight with junk you'll still be malnourished. I really hope you would consider consulting with a nutritionist or other professional, especially since eating disorders are psychological as much as anything else. This is not to shame you as I suffer from my own mental issues and I have no perspective when I'm 'lost' in it.
Clomid carries risks, including cancer. There's only so many doses in a lifetime you can take. Please do consider that you might be wasting these doses now when all you need to do is gain some weight.Me (38) and DH (38)

I actually was eating VERY healthy and just not eating ANY rubbish food. Not a single drop of wine, lollies chocolate etc. was following the blood type diet. I didn't feel underweight or look it either. I probably have petite bones. Btw, could be cos I'm Asian and smaller frame. Not sure.
But I'm now much heavier :P as its hard not to snack.
I also agree with pp Amy that maybe add a bit more healthy food? What about some meat instead of sugary stuff?Last edited by Goodus; February 1st, 2013 at 09:00 PM.
