Maple good luck on trying to concentrate, lol. I definitely didn't have an easy time focusing that day before but thankfully I did have some things to occupy me. Before I knew it I was heading home to do my afternoon duties as a mom. Surprisingly, I slept well that night. I don't know if I had resolved that it would be what it would be or if I had resolved that it would be a girl. I just remember every time the u/s tech would get a shot of her legs, I would look to see if it looked like there was a turtleIt took FOREVER for her to confirm the gender. I am so excited for you dear. I am sure you will hear girl!

Ohh ok! Yes we did 2 - the first one at 18 weeks for gender and our second is at 27 weeks! Love the 3D!
And thank you!!! I so hope we get the day too. And your right, knowing the surgery is coming with it is definitely not exciting AT ALL lol but I'm terrified of a vaginal delivery so I'm not dreading it much yet. I'm sure I will be once its closer though!Last edited by cvd; February 4th, 2013 at 05:57 PM.

Our family is now complete - no more babies for us. We didn't get our girl but I wouldn't trade my boys for the world, so in love.

Good luck tomorrow Maple!
I am so jealous of those buying girly things... Hehe. Hope I get to do that too soon.
I'm going for a 3D gender ultrasound in 3 and a bit weeks. I'm very excited about seeing baby in 3D. Never done that with any of my other pregnancies. So this one will be special anyway.
My ms is still hanging around. I'm over it.hope it ends soon....

Ah girls! I'm so excited for those of you with scans coming up. Maple, Jenna and Hoping-I'll be stalking these pages for news of you all. I'm not sure what the time difference is between Ontario, Canada and New Zealand. I'll just be checking in often. The waiting to the gender ultrasound is really tough. I found that I was losing sleep and having trouble focusing. My busy job made for a great distraction, but I couldn't work around the clock. There was plenty of time for my mind to wander....and obsess.
Maple, I think it was you who suggested that I'm so resistant to believe my own good news because I only saw it in an enevelope with a small potty shot slipped inside. You're right-because I didn't get to pick the tech's brain right then and there, I'm still having crippling doubts. I may do something that I'm not proud of-I may just book a quiet appointment at an elective ultrasound place, pay in cash (so DH can't see it on our listed transactions) and go alone. That way, I don't have to keep having the same pointless convo with my DH. What he doesn't know won't hurt him, this would be purely to put my mind at ease. DH isn't remotely interested in a 3D scan, he says he finds the images creepy not cuteSelling him on one of those isn't going to happen.
Hoping, ms is the poops. I hope it's over for you soon! I suffered right up to the second tri, but now I'm not sick anymore. Instead, my back pain is indescribableSeems I traded one for the other, hope you fare much better.

Sorry in advance if I miss anyone. Trying to do this while holding a hair dryer and using an iPhone is not easy. DS2 had just come upstairs to tell me he felt sick and then immediately threw up all over my bed!
Baby cakes that's fab news! Congrats.
P4P - so excited you got to buy pink. Eek!
Maple - good luck I'll be thinking of you!
CVD - good luck too with getting your date.
Jennaesue - I know exactly how you feel, I am a week ahead for my scan and every day is dragging. Wish I'd done what HopingforSaskia did and booked a sooner one! Thought what you wrote about DH getting kicked in head was funny. My DH loved that, he makes it his aim to get kicked in the head. I don't understand it lol!
Jadis - it's interesting to read what you said because I can not decide what to do at all. Should I find out? Not find out? Find out later? I'm wondering if I wouldn't believe the news either. Some days I think I have to know, then I think I can't find out in front of the sonographer in case I cry. Other days I think I'd rather wait and keep hoping for another 20 weeks. Though DH keeps telling me that's flawed logic as the baby is the gender it is and another 20 weeks doesn't matter. But I will never be pregnant again so I kind of want to keep the dream alive as long as poss.2007
