I have been doing boy diet for about a week now, planning TTC in march, so I'd like to get everything down now! I will admit I'm having trouble with the diet... It feels like a lot of food and I feel too full. Anyhow, here is a list of sups for me and DH.
DH
Centrum forte multivitamin
Siberian ginseng 650mg
Folic acid 1mg
Omega 3 fish oils 1000mg
Brewers yeast 500mg
Green tea extract
Co enzyme Q10 200mg
Zinc 25 mg
Selenium 100mg
ME
Am:
Frolic acid 1 mg
Centrum forte multivitamin
Potassium 50 mg
Vit D 400iu
Omega 3 fish oils 1000
Evening primrose oil 1000
Brewers yeast 500
PM:
Folic acid 1 mg
Omega 3 fish oils 2000 mg
Evening primrose oil 1000 mg
Green tea extract
Co enzyme Q10 200 mg
QUESTIONS:
CoQ10 is 200 mg gel caps so I can't cut them in half. Should DH and I only take them every other day?
I bought a greens supplement with TONNES of stuff in it but I noticed when I got home another ingredient is soya lethicin. Should that be avoided?
I bought apple cider vinegar tablets with green tea added, but an ingredient I found once I got home is 28.75 mg of calcium. Is that enough to alter a sway?
I've made up DH's packets because the only question I really have for his is the Q10.
I'm still contemplating mine.
Thanks for any and all advice you wonderful ladies have!

soy lecithin is just a small amount of oil used to bind together supplements. It's not the sort of soy isoflavones that may sway. I'd be careful with the greens supplements tho - just because something is green doesn't mean it is necessarily good for you in very high amounts. I am very wary of the algae supps.
How much zinc is DH taking all together? Surely there is some in the Centrum. Don't give him more than 25 all together, so if he's already getting some in the Centrum, drop the additional zinc.
He should also be getting Vit. D and I would have the both of you taking more like 1000-1200 IU.
Do you mean MICROgrams of selenium? 100 MILLIgrams of selenium is way too much.
You are taking much more of the Omega 3's and EPO than I typically advise. Those are blood thinners and may be dangerous at that level.
The Coq10 is ~probably~ fine even at the higher dose, but just to be safe I'd give it to DH one every other day and for you every 2 days.
The calcium in the vinegar pills is just meant for the formulation of the pills. It doesn't sway (calcium may sway blue anyway).
I could live without the ginseng as I'm not convinced of safety, but that is your call to make. Some people think it works.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thanks so much for getting back to me! So, I will start the Evening Primrose Oil at 500 am and 500 pm? The Fish oils I will take 1000 am and 1000 pm? The bottle says three caplets a day.
I'll take back the greens, I'm skeptical of any pill that says it has that much of so many things in it.
The centrum only has 7.5 of zinc, so with the 25 he is getting 32. Is that still too much?
Will increase vitamin D.
I am doing the everything but the kitchen sink sway with the exception of timing. We plan to DTD every second day through my cycle as this is our first time TTC.
Can you share what is unhealthy about the ginseng?
I appreciate you getting back to me! Thanks so much!

Oh yes, the selenium is micrograms, not milligrams! Had to read the bottle again.
Good thing I'm not a doctor, LOL.

I usually have people do 500 EPO and 1000 fish oil. The bottles have very high doses becasue they are for people who need high doses for lowering cholesterol - but you are using it for a totally different purpose and less may be more (you WANT some cholesterol, and also because of the blood thinning properties of the oils)
32 is ok, a bit high and I would not leave him on that dose in the long term. I'd prob. give him the 25 only every other day.
The ginseng may affect cell division and that may affect sperm negatively. Even if it makes more sperm and makes them move around more, they may not be as good as reg. old sperm. Plus the ginseng lowers cholesterol which in turn can lower testosterone. It also can raise blood pressure.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Well, the prob is not just the heavier AF and bruising of course, it's that the blood thinners can make it more likely for you to have bleeding in your brain or stomach and that can be FATAL. So I just think it's best to use the smallest possible dose possible, and really 1000 mg fish oil plus 500 mg EPO/flax is PLENTY and may be too much for some people. i could never take that much, I would keel over dead from blood loss LOL

Need help: (not sure if I post here) I am having a hard time making my cm alkaline. I am have added alkaline fruits and veggies, red meat, lots of banannas, potatoes, raisin bran cereal, almonds, raisins, smoothie with the fruits and veggies with full fat milk etc
Supplements I am taking is fertile cm, vitafusion prenatal, extrea folic acid, green tea and alka seltzer gold. My dh was taking a multi vitamin cetrums but i bought the fertiaid for men to support healthy sperm so we will drop the multivitamin then. What else can I do to raise my ph? It is at a standing still 4.5. Not sure if being on birth control would affect my cm and make it stay low. I plan on getting off next month as we are going ttc for a boy this time. I already have two beautiful girls, 5 and 3.Last edited by Hadams0413; June 10th, 2017 at 06:13 PM.
