    DIET HELP!!

For the last few months I have been successfully losing weight, I've gone from 105kg to 72kg.
We want to start ttc girl in april so I have started following the LE diet principles and in the last week I have felt disgusting from eating rice, bread, wraps and have gained so much weight even though I'm eating within the calories range AND exercising for 60mins and I feel sooo HEAVY again.
During my weight loss I stayed far away from these types of foods and primarily ate chicken, fish, low fat yogurt and fruit and veges. I'm really concerned about this weight gain.. when I conceived my son I was also going through a period of weight gain :-S

Do you think its better for me to go back to the way I was eating before as long as I come within the guidelines of protein etc and go back to eating what I was before and losing weight or persevere with the grains etc and risk continuing to gain weight????

I'm so confused and unsure :-( As the Le guidelines say Do not eat meat, but I would be eating chicken or fish once a day.

mec06 I was wondering the same thing. I have 4 kids 1 of which is a girl. When I think about what I was doing diet wise before her it is a lot like what you were doing and not at all LE. My diet was full of dairy, eggs & chicken NO carbs or fruit & light veggies. Also had a ton of aspartame.

She is the only one that I was on a high protein no carb diet for but she is also the only one that my calories would have been WAY to low at the time(young & dumb dieter) & also 2 weeks before we DTD for her I had a cyst rupture & I had emergency surgery. So now I'm left wondering if the diet helped bring me her or if I got luckin spitete of the diet.

SoI'm i'm not really helping, hoping someone can shed some light for you & congrats on your weight loss!

I too feel that my weight loss has come to a halt since starting the LE diet... Actually that's not true, I lost loads in the first week and since have come to a halt. I also wondered if anyone knows what DH is meant to eat?

Yes, you should go back to the way you were eating before and just try to keep protein and fat to a lower level. The crash and burn type of LE Diet is not good for people who have insulin resistance, and since you're on Met it would appear you have some issues with IR or PCOS??

It's fine if you stop losing weight after having lost quite a lot. If you're eating 1500 cals a day and are gaining weight, then you ahve a problem LOL.

DH does not have to follow LE Diet, but if he cuts back on red meat, all meat, fish, eggs, full fat dairy, fat all together, or even just one or two of them, ti may help. It also may help if he ups intake of soy foods.

Thank you! I think I was just on pause following the sudden weight loss. I'm loosing about 2 lbs a week now.

Will investigate soy foods for DH

Also with the planned diet thing which you pay for... How does it work? I'm from the uk? Is it affordable? And do you get higher success results?
