Hi All
I used some Rephresh for the first time yesterday and had planned to use half an applicator full but the applicator's aren't clear and I couldn't tell how much I was using - even holding the applicator to the light! In the end I went for 2 squeezes of the applicator. I'm finding it's really hanging around in there though, which I know is the idea, and I'm pretty sure that whenever I've tested the pH since I've only been testing the pH of all the Rephresh which is coming out on my fingers!
I only have pH strips which I'm not finding that easy to read but I *think* my pH before the Rephresh was around a 5 and this morning, 12 hours later, it's around a 4. Might have to buy some different pH strips though as I'm finding it really difficult to tell!
Who's tested their Rephresh with Aci-jel? I'm waiting for my delivery!

One thing I was noticing with my rephresh applicators is what is considered the dose was coming out when I took off the cap (maybe the high altitude), even shacking or tapping it down didn't help. I decided to empty the full applicator amount in an air tight container which is actually considered 2-3 doses. I just use an extra baby medicine seringe or finger.... When just using the applicator as reccomended you get gel just a little bigger then a pea, but when you cut it open and milk out everything your get almost triple.
I alternate rephresh and replens every other day (because I was on antibiotics for a few weeks and my ph went up and my sway is in 6wks)... both with about 1/2 a dose. I have a digtal ph meter but I wait 24hrs to test and test right before my next dose.
The one day when I mixed replens and rephresh in a little container the ph stayed about 5 for several hours... I think it may be better to space the doses out by atleast 12 hrs.
The gell hanging around is a good sign... your body will soak it in over time as needed. For testing it may be best if you wait the full 3 days and then test and use another dose.Last edited by purplepoet20; May 20th, 2011 at 05:11 PM.

Brilliant - thank you. Good idea about emptying the applicator too, I was thinking how unhygeinic it was to re-use it! I take it it works well with the medicine syringe and isn't too thick?
I actually tested today and pH was back up to 5 (not digital) so maybe I need to get used to it or maybe I didn't use enough. I guess this is why we experiment!

It is a little tricky to get it in the surg but I found one that you can buy in a baby kit and it is larger then the ones that come with baby tylenol.
I hope someone post about ph strips because I know nothing about them....

Great advice Purple and I will put that into the essay (credited to you of course!!) Thanks so much for sharing your experiences with all of us.
pH of 5 is just fine and nothing to worry about at all. 4.5-5 is just right.
You may be testing the pH of the RepHresh, but that's ok. If you're doing it right, you shouldn't have much CM to test to begin with. If you're really curious, take a few days off around O (IF you're taking that month off) and test your CM then.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
