We are getting serious about building a house and the topic of number of bedrooms came up - we are thinking we might go with 5!!! I "jokingly" said to dh "that could be for the 5th baby!" and he said some words that aren't appropriate for mixed company, lol. But c'mon, if we have room in the house, room in the minivan, room around the dining room table, why the heck not! LOL I know, I am crazy. I always wanted a lot of kids. I always pictured 4 or more. I grew up as the baby with a much older brother and sister, so I was basically an only child, and I was so lonely. I love that my kids have built-in playmates! And while it does seem hard to have so many kids, you have to remember that they get older and more self-sufficient, and spend more time at school, so you have time to focus on the littler ones. So that's how I justify it, at least.
I looked at more baby clothes this weekend, and I tried to stay in the boy section, but some knucklehead put some girl outfits on the boy rack and it really upset me. I am such a head case.I didn't buy anything.

Is it just me or does it seem like there is far less to choose from in the boy section than the girls? Every time i walk into a store i feel like 75% of it is girl stuff.
Praying4Pink-I hope the weather holds out for you!!!

Thanks hon! I do feel that there are way more girls clothes than boys but I did find and have been finding my son some cute stuff recently. I mean really what can you do for a boy...t-shirt, jeans, collar shirt, vests, long sleeve shirt....that's pretty much it, lol. And to top it off...girls items are way cheaper than boys. You just have to find the right place to go shopping. My MIL always finds my son the cutest outfits and on sale too!

Jennasue- I agree if you have the means and room for more then why not. I am afraid that that our lo will fill much like you did growing up. Ds3 is 6 so there won't be any others aroound his age. My sister has a 4 year old but that's not the same as having a brother or sister close in age. My DH said if I really wanted to do ht and we could figure out how to pay for it he would but Im afraid that when it come time and I want to he will try to change his mind. I I told him he already said yes so he can't change his mind but we'll see what happens in a couple of years.
I decided that I am going to go shopping this weekend for a travel system and/or swing and some clothes I think maybe that might make me feel a little better and we have to do it sometime anyway all we have for this one is a crib and some hand me down clothes.2001

Mommyof3boys, at least your dh is being cooperative about having another one at the moment. It seems to be a good sign.
And it's good for you to still have hope. My dh is really against any more, but if it were up to him, we'd have been done after ds1. I never had to cajole him into having another one, he always just eventually realized it was what I really wanted and so he is always the one who brought up trying (well, ds3 was an oops baby, so there was no trying then!) So I have hope that might happen one more time.
And my brother is 11 years older and my sister is 12 years older, so they were pretty much moved out of the house by the time I was in kindergarten. I think there is still a chance your six year old and the new baby will be buddies. But wouldn't it be great to give the new baby a playmate?
And yay for retail therapy! I love buying baby gear. Unfortunately we got all new stuff for ds3 so we don't really need anything. I do think I might spring for a new carrier.

Mine is next Thursday, the 7th. DH and I can't even wait, I am bringing our album of Ryder so we can see if they look alike LOL we are doing the DVD package and we are aloud to choose our own music for it, so DH is putting together a disc of cute country songs (we are huge country fans). You must be sooo excited for tomorrow, I hope the weather's holding up for Saturday down in the "sunny" south hehe

Our family is now complete - no more babies for us. We didn't get our girl but I wouldn't trade my boys for the world, so in love.
