I posted this in another thread but it's more part of a girl sway so I thought I'd repost here.
I'm looking at starting one to hopefully bring O sooner in my cycle and help with my LP (make it longer). Any idea which of the two is better for that? I've tried to do research but I'm finding it hard to know which to take!

Hmmmm....I don't really know but I am kinda au naturel type person and I would be tempted to just take NOTHING for a cycle and see what happens.
did you get bloodwork by your DR? If there was a progesterone issue, that can be easily fixed, you know? Without messing around with herbs.

I got bloodwork done, but on CD14.. which I'm not sure how accurate any of that would be considering I don't O until CD20ish. She said everything was totally normal as far as all the hormones...
My temp is also quite high this charting cycle (in my LP) so I'm hoping this means in Progesterone was low, my temps wouldn't be very high.. but maybe I'm off.
I just wanted to try either to get O to move forward as my LP is too short so I thought I might try either as I've never used supps so far...
I'm the same as you though, I hesitate to take anything incase it screws things up even more!

What does the Dr suggest as far as ttc?
Oh wait...let me guess...she wants you to try for 3 months and then come back, right?? Little do they know, we have already been at this a while before they pass out that helpful advice!
Maybe show her your charts where O is not clearly defined (that happened, right..or did you have a clear defined O?) and maybe she would try you on some low dose CLomid (eek...so much for au natural). And this is new for you right, to O so late in the cycle?
As far as soy, not enough people really use it to see how it does for swaying or otherwise. I always just hear people say how it messed things up. Idk.
I asked my fertility dr about Vitex and she said it doesn't work. LOL. It sure seems to me it changes people's cycles pretty significantly. If I was having trouble conceiving, I'm not sure this is the way *I* would go(vitex). I would be wanting some more definitive answers.

For sure when I conceived my first two I O'd on CD14. The past two months I've charted and it's been CD22, and CD20-21 this cycle (so my LP is 9-10 days). She sent in a referral for a fertility clinic but wasn't 100% positive i'd get in due to them wanting you to try for a certain length of time. So i'm currently just waiting until I hear about that...
I hesitate to use vitex because I've heard it can really mess up stuff and Soy is supposed to be the natural clomid.. so I'm tempted by it a little but was just curious everyones advice as I might try it last cycle. (The past two cycles I've been mostly not swaying at all.. last cycle I was for half of it until O was late and then I quit)

WEll if I had a gun to my head, I would say take the Vitex. I don't think soy will do much about the LP. I could be wrong about that but reading your original post...O'ing earlier and lenghtening LP...Vitex may do the trick while you wait around anyway to see Dr Fertility.
Here is the thing though....I was VERY hesitant to take any supps before all my testing because I wanted them to have an accuraate picture of what was going on so I could get the help I needed. Looking back, that was the right choice because taking something like a blood thinner 2 weeks on 2 weeks off would of skewed my results.

They both can screw up cycles. I feel liek we've seen more people take vitex so I have a better handle on it but the soy may be more likely to ensure ovulation. In short go wtih your gut
