I will admit that I devoured in 4 days a betty crocker rainbow chip cake icing a couple of weeks ago. I have eaten Hot tamales to satisfy the sugar craving since they have no fat or sodium. I'm also working out 6-7 days a week so I figure I can get the blood sugar low again. Let's just say that I'm going through a lot of gum.

You can eat some sweets, but choc is a no-no due to the presence of antioxidants. Also many candies have sodium, and of course they are all fat/calorie dense foods that should be limited for pink.

I am PMSing so bad right now and they are saving me from diving into chocolate and salty foods. I try to eat them right before I go for my run/walk (exercising helps maintain lower sugar levels).
I also think white chocolate is ok if you are DYING for chocolate. I just decided this yesterday, so you didn't miss anything!!!

Hmmm...it looks to me like Hot Tamales should be ok. in hot tamales candy are: Sugar, Corn Syrup, Modified Food Starch, Sodium Citrate, Pectin, Citric Acid, Corn Protein Glaze, Confectioner's Glaze, Carnauba Wax, White Mineral Oil, Artificial Flavors, Artificial Colors.

The gumminess is coming from pectin and not gelatin. Pectin is plant-based rather than animal based.

Just a reminder guys, stay in the 1500-1800 range of calories and try really hard not to snack. Eat 2 or 3 meals rather than munching Hot Tamales all day long because that will mess up your low blood sugar.

These cinnamon candies they sell in the US. I'm not sure if they sell something similar in the UK or not??
They also have fruit flavored ones called, "Mike and Ike".

I also got some gummie bears from a Whole foods health food store. They are made with Pectin and not Gelatin. They have no fat or sodium also. I eat a few bears when I get really light headed.
