Thank goodness you have decided against purchasing this product. I just saw this thread and was going to chime in and let you know that in my opinion, it would be a huge mistake.
I did HT and my clinic advised me that they transferred a female embryo. I didn't doubt it for a second but I wanted to do the test for a bit of fun. I thought it would be nice to hear the words "It is a girl" for the first time in my life. I didn't anticipate just how badly it could turn out, until I did this test and the results came back. The results came back boy!
Well, I panicked of course. I started wondering if the test was accurate and if it was, how this mix up could have happened. I could not get any gender confirmation at my 12 week ultrasound. So, I spent weeks in absolute limbo over Christmas and New Year. My clinic assured me the embryo they transferred was female with 99.9% accuracy and I knew in my heart I trusted the clinic more than the test. But there was always that lingering doubt. I read all the comments about inaccuracy on IG and on here and prayed like crazy the test was wrong for me. Then at 17 weeks my OB confirmed 100% girl, much to my relief. But to think, I could have been enjoying my DD pregnancy instead of going out of my mind with worry!
The lab has offered my money back when I send in a copy of my DD birth certificate. But the whole episode led me to wonder how many people actually bother going through that process eight months later to get their money back. This company profits from people who either forget or don't have time to chase their refund with a new baby.
Who knows if they eveb do a test. If they charge $300 for a test and give 90% of people boy results without even running the test, they are still going to be right at least 50% of the time. And when they aren't right, they can claim that the mother may have contimatinated the test with a Y chromosome by having a male present at the time. This means that they only would have to refund in 50% of cases and then only half of those (or maybe less) would even bother. If this company can suck 1000 people like me into doing the test they would make $250,000 for doing absolutely nothing at all.

I think their website says it has to be 3 months separating pregnancies. I wanted to try it, but I can't because I'm on anticoagulants.

i have to admit, for as tempting as it was to consider this test, im glad i didn't waste my money...only 7 more days until gender scan!
i hate that all of these tests or even the OTC urine tests, really all they do is take advantage of women with dreams, i feel! they can be fun to do but they should be dirt cheap!

For whomever said MaterniT21 was more reliable, it was not for my son. They told me he was a girl. Imagine my devastation when I found out it wasn't the baby girl I wanted. I don't hold any faith in the accuracy of determining fetal gender from the mother's blood******. I'm far more willing to trust amnio or CVS since they are actually testing from the baby.
