Just starting to feel about 50% normal since having the most HORRIBLE vomiting bug I've ever had. It was just so, so horrible. It started Wednesday morning about 1am and created a domino effect. Every 20 minutes, though... violent. It was just unrelenting. You know how vomiting normally brings relief? I NEVER had relief... I always felt like I needed to again. Just horrible. I wasn't worried about baby because the baby was moving a LOT during that 24 hours... probably because I was annoying her! But her crazy movements while I felt so sick was just such a weird sensation because it just made me feel sicker, for some reason. When I finally stopped vomiting, I finally slept for an hour then woke feeling so very hot (my belly felt like a furnace, also) but yet had the chills and was freezing. I thought, "Oh, greaaaat... a fever now?!" and it was about 38.9C/102F. So dealt with that the next night. Then I ended up sweating it all out... my whole bed. I was dripping. It was disgusting. I was SO sore, aching, uncomfortable, washed out, exhausted, fatigued... I felt so empty. Then the diarrhea, I had a headache with the fever that I still have (now probably the 4th day of headache)... tried eating some sort of normal stuff today but stomach still being easily nauseated by real food. Tomorrow is another day...

ANYWAY... that was just horrible. Thanks for listening to me whine...... my whole body hurts. Amazing that babies remain okay during the havoc your body goes through. Ugh.

In other news, I found my Hypnobirthing book with CD unused. My father got it for me for my first pregnancy and I was reading a couple books and never got around to it and then misplaced it, but I found it tonight (the Mongan Method... with CD)... so I'm going to start reading it now. Since I'm planning a homebirth, I figure this will be the beneficial thing for me. I'm just sad I never read it my first pregnancy! Oh well. Now's as good a time as any!

Definitely wasn't food poisoning. We all ate the same things that week. My husband spoke to a doctor on the phone at 4am... I was too busy vomiting in the background! I made him call because I was concerned about dehydration because it was so bad so wanted to make sure I kept on top of anything I needed to for the health of baby girl.

I work in a hospital so I feel I got norovirus or something along those lines... the symptoms are exactly what I had.

It's Mother's Day in the UK here but since I'm American and it feels all wrong to me, my husband celebrates the US one for me. Ha ha.
