wanted to add, that I do eat fruits and vegetable daily. I eat two courgettes, like 3- 4 cups, one pear, one apple and either a hand full strawberries or rasberries. Isn't that enough. Sometimes I have additional lettuce and a hand full spinach with my courgette. I have 2 slices of toast and some parmesan on it. After that I have some biscuit crackers and some coffee until afternoon I won't eat. At 4 I have my rice or my spagetti with some mayonaise and butter and greek yoghurt. I recently end up at 1400 cal. Is it really that bad? I fit into the guide lines of potassium, pears have 300 I caculated it. Please give me ideas. thank u

Amy, you really need to work up to eating more calorie dense foods. IMO you still have too many veg and fruit in there - and while those are healthy foods, they are also empty bulk that fill you up but won't put on weight. Which is great when trying to lose weight but you are still very, very underweight and need to put some pounds on.
I really hope you will consider seeing a nutritionist or dietician and have them seriously look at your diet. You need to add some fats and carbs in there, but after not having enough for so long your body probably needs to work up to digesting them again or you'll make yourself sick. I also think that you've been eating too little for so long that it's likely your hunger cues and metabolic mechanisms have switched off and will need some retraining to get back to healthy territory.Me (38) and DH (38)

What do u mean
? But I am eating 100 g pasta or 100g rice per day at 4 o clock in the afternoon. this is my dinner! Each contains 350 cal plus another slice of cheese with 50 cal. Pasta and rice each contain 12 / 8 g protein and tons of carbs. The only thing I could be missing is fat. I kept reading other peoples sways and they ate less then me...

They may have more to lose, like I do. I could stand to lose another 60lbs to be my heights ideal weight (Ive never been that thin) but as it stands now, Im under my lowest conception weight and am steadily losing. Try tracking what you eat in MyFitnessPal.com... it will help make sure you eat enough calories, fat, and protein to stay healthy. Good luck with everything!

Ok all I had to go off of was what you had written in your original post. If you're eating some fruits and veg and getting within the limits for potassium (2500-3000 mg a day), then no worries on that front. that having been said, muscle cramps can also be from low potassium, and some people just need more than others do.
Yes, eating 1400 cals is not so hot if you are getting sick all the time and the people you love are worried about you. The reason why I have the limit set at 1500-1800 for most people is because that's the number that reproductive endocrinologists recommend for safe weightloss when TTC. 1200-1500 is not, and it was never really my intent for most people to be eating 1200-1500 and me to beg and plead with people to be eating that much. PLUS, low carb veg are free foods you don't even need to count their calories, so if some of your calories are coming from courgette, lettuce, spinach, you aren't meant to be counting them anyway.
I hope you know we just want you to be healthy and safe. You're right, Amari did get b/g twins and what I really hope you can take away from that is NOT that Clomid doesn't really work because it clearly does help, but that there are no guarantees, you can have a very restrictive diet and Clomid and still have an opposite. So it is not worth ruining your health over, KWIM??? There are going to be opposites all the time, swaying will never be 100%, and so you have to just do the doable.!!! As my mama used to say, "If they all jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge, that doesn't mean that you should!"
Even if they were eating the exact same as you, that doesn't mean that it is something that is a good idea. I try constantly to get people to eat more and I think that there are tons of people on the site who cut back way too far, and there are a lot of horror stories about people who stopped ovulation for months at a time and were very unhappy and actually wished that they'd not started off so strictly.!!! Thanks, will have to use trigger and clomid anyway because I lost period because of weight loss and I am on BCP. I pray that this did not cause Menopause to start because I am already 35.
I followed Atomics advice and went ot restaurant 18 days before my first attempt I had one massive pizza mushrooms, massive spaghetti mushrooms (tried to avoid tomatoes), one big salat with parmesan, one big ben &jerrys Icecream chocolate plus a capuccino (2500 cal) plus my daily LE diet before 1000 cal- 3500)Since sunday night I feel like I destroid my sway and I am wondering if I should wait a month. I of course gained 2 pounds and I have to admit my diet hasn't been that perfect anymore in the last weeks... I think I am higher in potassium and since one week I am def overgoing in salt. If I drop weight the last 18 days, do I still have a chance? I hate to go under 1400 cal because how can I build the lining and grow eggs with this little calories if I am already not having a period. I will try to ovulate on easter sunday (girls moon), not sure if Iam able to calculate it that well. I will stop BCP on Saturday. I am really worried if I should buy one of those ionisers but I hate to carry that , it seems heavy, and I try to avoid muscle work on my arms. Now you think she s turned crazy, I sure have...Last edited by AMY; March 12th, 2013 at 03:16 AM.

You can not cause menopause to start from diet.
I think you are doing the right thing by eating more and I hope you continue doing that.
Do not cut back calories again.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
