So maybe to early I had a date scan yesterday 10.2 weeks and I read on the net that for nub theory you have to be 10-14 weeks so I thought I would post here so we can guess. My next scan is at 13 weeks so I will post them to and I can compair. So what do you think boy or girl? I am desperate to know.

Just FYI, per the actual study done on this-
Out of 1,424 pregnancies in the study, at 11 weeks it was only correct 50% of the time but at 12 weeks, it showed to be 80% accurate and at 13 weeks, 94% accurate!
There is no data for 10 weeks!

What happens when they say the baby is measuring 12-13 weeks, but only 10-11 on ultrasound? Can you then depend on the nub theory?

I don't think it would be that far off...a few days off but not weeks. I know people measure ahead a few days but it was based upon the actual gestation.

If you get your scan at 11 weeks, it can be difficult to tell the difference between the genders. A scan at 12 weeks is around 75% accurate and at 13 weeks it's closer to 95% accurate.

When you go in for your scan, ask your sonographer to get a shot with your DS or DD right side on back and flat not curled up and a good shot of the 'nub.
