I also read everyone's posts but sometimes get so far behind that I don't get a chance to respond to everyone. I'm always interested in everything you ladies have to share and love reading this thread! I'm glad to be a part of this group
Thorz, I think your pic came out so cute! I agree with everyone else that you should keep it b/w with just the baby shoes in color. Can't wait to see the final product next week!
Fish, I am so happy for you having DH come home. I can'timagine what a relief it will be to have him with you.
WAG (took me a few posts to figure out what the heck that means LOL), sorry about your tooth troubles. Is it causing you a lot of pain? I too had a really rough time while pg with DS1 when my tooth would flare up so bad the entire side of my head and neck would throb with pain. Next to labor it was some of the worst pain I have ever experienced. The dentist said it needed to be pulled but I didn't want to be awake for that so I waited until after birth to be put under and have it pulled. I sure hope you're not suffering with it and you're able to wait.

There's no doubt they are work and there have been times where I wish we didn't hve them but at the same time they are such a part of the family. We've never actually had a puppy, we always get rescues so they're usually a few years old. I agree puppies are a ton of work and I don't think I would take that on either! We feel with so many dogs being euthenized (sp?) everyday we want to give a dog a home who would otherwise not have a chance at life.

No pain at all.... So I'm hoping I can keep the infection at bay by maybe doing a seasalt gargle daily? I noticed what looked like a zit on my gum in the summer and there was no pain so I forgot about it for a few months... It's on a root canal tooth that I had done when I was 11

Glad to hear you aren't in any pain at least! Hope the infection doesn't come back, good luck.
Also in my previous posts I hope I'm not coming across badly. I have nothing against anyone who isn't a "dog person" lol. We just happen to enjoy having dogs but I know they aren't right for everyone's families. Just felt I was maybe coming across wrong....

I had two cocker spaniels and two Labradors whilst growing up and loved them all! I do like dogs and would always consider myself a dog person, but its THIS dog. Just looking at him makes me angry!

Southern Butterfly we are a dog and cat family so you aren't totally alone. We have two dogs and two cats and we love them all. They are a lot of work however it is totally worth it (IMO)!! First two pictures are of Lexi, our first dog with DS1. We got her when DS2 was about 8 weeks old. She is great with the kids and she helps me sleep at night since DH has a job that is out of town. The third picture is with our second dog Echo and DH. My kids love the dogs and the cats and and I think it has helped them to be more sensitive to others and they are learning to take care of them as well. I know pets aren't for everyone... I just couldn't imagine not having them. They are part of our family.

WantingPink -- I love German Shepherds and your dogs are beautiful! I grew up with dogs as well (Labs, mutts) and they were such a part of my life. We only have a cat now because that's all I can handle, lol. Although she's sort of like a dog! Since my family is in Europe and we want to visit them regularly (2-3 week trips), having a dog would make it much more complicated as we would have to find a dogsitter or kennel for it.
I'm surprised at all the horse lovers here. I grew up with horses as well and I was involved in competitive dressage up until I left for college. My horse is now a retired senior and still in Europe where my mom makes sure to visit him and love on him. As with dogs, we'll never have a horse with land because I have to be able to travel freely between Europe and the US...
Wanting-a-girl -- I'm glad you aren't in any acute pain. I would also get a second opinion if at all possible. The only concern I have is that if a procedure is really necessary, I would rather do it while pregnant than when you have to take care of a newborn...
Fish -- can't wait for your scan. I'll be stalking for sure.12/18/08
