I loved swaddling my boys when they were babies. I don't think it's hard to do at all.

YES! I am drinking water and peeing all day long! But I get a headache if I don't, and I know it's good to drink a lot of water, so I'm glad I crave it!

Anyway, the reason I missed my appointment is because my husbands schd varies from day to day and I usually have no one to watch my girls. Tomorrow he's off so will definitely go for the blood work....Lord willing there's a place about 20 mins from myhouse that does gender ultrasounds as early as 15 weeks for $40. I'm so tempted on going before or after the blood work and not tell my dh so that if its a boy (praying amd begging God) I can plan a surprise for him. What you all think?
Hey there....at this point, if you are wanting a scan for gender, I'd wait until 16 weeks as it is much clearer. It's just one week, so won't be too hard to wait! About the tests for abnormalities, your doc will tell you what is best at this point, but you could always do an amnio (usually done at 16w) which screens for everything if you have family history or are over 35 or just really worried about it. Otherwise, I know the quad and other screens they do help to find markers for trisomies, so I would just go with what your doc recommends at this stage in the game.

Alyssa, never mind....for some reason I thought you were asking more about screenings, but if just u/s for gender, I agree with others! But wait a few days if you can because 16w is when you really can tell- but $40 is not bad at all so maybe you won't care as much if you can't tell yet!

Most places near me were coming up at around £130! Then I found one a little over half hour away for £70 so that sealed the deal LOL

2 of my 3 hated swaddling. it was only my middle child (who has real trouble just keeping still and his body will not let him rest and seems to fight sleep even when he wants to sleep) who really liked it. But for him it was great and I would definitely recommend trying it.

It's crazy today I was just thinking and all of a sudden I felt like I didn't care what the gender of this baby is. It's very strange. now this could change but I feel calm about it.
