Well fish, I wish you could have gotten a definite clear answer, but I am very glad the cysts have gotten smaller. Will you have another scan in June? I have NEVER considered a home birth. I know a lot of people, especially on these forums, really like them and have good experiences with them. However, for me, the last place I want to be is home when I give birth. Too many stresses at home, I like to get away and be taken care of for a few days. For me it is a nice little break. Plus as Mel said, I would be way too concerned about something going wrong and not being able to get to the hospital fast enough. It takes about 20 min to get to our hospital, and if something goes wrong, that is 20 min too long. I don't judge others who chose to do home births, I just pray everything goes well for them. For me though, I have no desire to do one.

Oooo fish I'm so happy for your good news! Omg that's aweso!
I wouldn't have a home birth cause the possibility of complications even tho I've had three pretty straight forward births it doesn't mean that the fouth Time will be as well... It just scares the crap out of me!

Ha ha I'd got quiet convinced about a home birth an even convinced dh whose never been keen before but after all this I'm not sure at all, I was ready to push ds2 out at home twenty minutes after my waters broke and contractions started it was the journey from hell so I suppose part of me wants to prepare for that I think I'll probably end up going for midwife lead unit where I had ds's they were so lovely and the consultants are only round the corner ;-) hoping for water birth as tears bad last time!
Thorz yes will be another scan!
Ps they said today defo a girl you could see and that's good as not had confirmation since 18 wks and was getting bit nervous

I am def going to have a emergency home birth kit ready as ds 2 was a 30 min labour
Has anyone been thinking of other thing like the VIt K and eye drops and cord clamping?
I delayed cord clamping with ds3 and it was so peaceful when he was born it was awesome! I will be doing that again for sure

Fish glad you got good news, just wish it was all the news for you. I thought about a home birth but i tore quite badly with DS2 and i have a feeling the same thing will happen again so will only end up in hospital anyway so i'm also going to a birth centre where DS2 was born (ended up being transfered to another hospital though to be stiched up as they couldnt do it at the birth centre). Would also love a water birth as i tried for one with DS2 but he wasnt hanging around and they didnt get chance to run the bath. I have a feeling i might have an unplanned home birth as DH works 30min away (on a good day) and the hospital is a 40min drive. I'm so so worried about it
Love my boys lots and lots 20092011

Fish, that sounds pretty positive re the cysts. I had a fantastic water birth with DD2, she was posterior and it really helped with the pain. DD3 was a section so hoping for a VBAC. I have mixed feelings about home birth- I completely accept the stats that say for second plus births for low risk women it's very safe but we're very medicalised through our jobs so even though I like the idea at some levels it wouldn't really be an option. Plus, like Thorz, I'm looking forward to a few days rest.
Thorz, I had a fine old shout at the big girls last night. They don't hold grudges! It was DH's fault though (lol) as I was expecting him home to help with dinner, bath etc but he'd got the dates of a meeting wrong and had to stay at work. This isn't a problem usually but normally I prepare for it with a low effort meal etc so I was left scrambling. And the big girls were tired after school and grouchy with each other and I was sick of the squabbling.Mummy to three gorgeous girls :

Mel I agree with you on the hospital delivery. I heard loads of horror stories about home birth that I wouldn't dare. Supisingly I feel relaxed and at ease in the hospital knowing it's all in there just in case of an emergency.
Lia and Elle sound interesting, very feminine!2009
