Gecon - Looking forward to your update on your appt tonight! I always ov late too and even though the midwife could've accessed my files for my 28 day prog test to show that I'd ov'd late, she still insisted on using my lmp. I couldn't adjust it due to it all being on file through taking Clomid etc. I know I'll have my date adjusted and the one in my ticker is what I was given by putting in my ov date, so I think it's as accurate as can be until go for my scan.
Charlee & Ladybugs, I really sympathise with your m/s. I haven't been sick at all but the nausea can be so debilitating, I can only imagine how awful a time you're having. My symptoms are coming and going a bit now. The nausea is less frequent but more intense when I do get it. I usually get a horrid taste in my mouth too that nothing shifts. Most of today my boobs have felt like pre-pregnant ones which worried me so I rang the midwife. She said not to worry at all as long as my other symptoms are still there. Well, I felt absolutely done in all day with nausea too this afternoon. I'm just so terrified of losing the baby as it's taken so long to get to this point. Just recently the tiredness and nausea has lifted and hey presto! my boobs are tender again! It's funny how I only worry when my boobs feel pain-free as that's been a constant since bfp, but the nausea and tiredness comes and goes. I have such a huge bump it's embarrassing. Even DH is asking if I got my dates wrong. I'm not in maternity clothes yet though as I lost so much weight through LE. Is anyone else the same?

Charlee I'm so glad that your family were receptive. Do your boys know yet?
I thought mine would tell everyone but they haven't. I don't think I'll believe it until I see a healthy baby at my scan in a fortnight, so telling people feels like I'm tempting fate somehow.2007

Evening ladies,
Finally back from the doctor, had some tea and put the wee man to bed.
Right, looks like little beanie is nicely located where it should be and measures at 4+2, so close enough to my calculation.
Very happy to have seen little beanie, makes it all feel so much more real.
Back for my next appointment on the 27th.

GeCon, so good to hear that things went well at the scan. I am British but move around every 2-4 years because of my husbands job as a British spy/ boring penpusher LOL. We are moving in july and will be there for 3 or 4 years. I would love to come back to Spain then but dont think it will be possible unless the global economy improves. I am set to give birth in my third continent and 5th language (they used 3 with DS1 progressing to the one i knew least as things got worse) which should be pretty terrifying as I cannot even say hello properly. Ow X¥@*# is probably quite universal though.
Charlee I am getting morning sickness when I haven't eaten but it seems to get better when I sip water so it is a toss up between nausea and going to the loo the whole time. I got it with both DSs so don't expect it to let up anytime soon. On the upside my LE depleted boobs are getting bigger!
Dreamof pink - I have a bump already and I am not even 7 weeks yet. I don't think anyone will notice yet though as I went a bit concave so now look normal again. Apart from my mum and dad who asked outright when I wasn't drinking, we haven't told anyone. I am a bit worried it will be too much for my boys as we are telling them that they are leaving everything they know and going somewhere completely new. I don't want to follow that up with more massive news. I might just wait till they ask what is happening to my tummy.

Emily...that is clever all around...I would be using the time in your favour as to get a scan before you leave. My best IRL was teaching ESL in Korea when they started her family and she did have multiple scans where they lived!! It was different she said when she go back to Canada. Emily is a sweet name for the little girl growing within you!!!
GeCon....I answered your question in my answer to Emily....Canadian born and bred. Our medical system sometimes works against me and occasionally for me!! WTG on beanie neslting right on in!!!
Charlee...you are right for sure! M/s is still kicking me over here, but once this week is over and out, I am hoping for both a reduction in m/s and work hours...a girl can dream!! But unlike you, eating seems to make mine better, but that is not the best outcome in terms of weight and weight gain for me. I need to figure out better ways to keep the m/s at bay, because dry heaves hurt too! That is great that your family is excited!!! Even if there is "no" pressure!!
Dreamofpink....so glad to hear from you....you too have that nasty taste in the throat...ew is all I can say. I hope that it passes soon for both you and I..I really don't recall it in either of the boys' pregnancies. I wish that my clothes were fitting nicer, my last m/c, lack of running and weight gain/flucuations last fall made the LE diet only good for getting back to my happier adult weight, nothing less...so, I have snuck a tighter fitting pair of mat jeans into my rotation already!! My preconception weight this time was 35 lbs lighter than with DS1 and 45lbs lighter than with DS2...no clothes kept from that time. What maternity clothes are you going to by for the skinniest you????????'06'06

I'm being such a worrywart today and feeling yuck as I have a horrid yeast infection. Going to see doc later. Just can't help worrying that bub is okay, don't think it helps that I'm feeling stressed from us just accepting an offer on our house too. It all gets a bit much at times
sorry for being a moaning minnie.

Don't worry about it, Dreamofpink. That's what we are here for. To share the good and not so good things.
Sorry to hear you are not feeling great, but hopefully the doc will be able to help. Exciting news on the offer. I take it you have already got a new place? When are you looking at moving?

As promised a little update on the scan situation: So we get 3 scans as part of our routine checks: around 10, around 20 and around 30 weeks. We can have additional scans at €25 each, should we desire to do so.
In the UK, we had 2 routine ones at 12 and 20. We also had one private one at 12 weeks as they sent us 4 weeks early to the 12 week one. So overall we had 3 scans with our 1st pregnancy.
We have therefore decided that we will probably just go with the standard 3 here plus one more at 16 weeks.

Thanks GeCon, your kind words helped! Seen the doc and have a pessary now for thrush - urgh. Had a near meltdown on phone to midwife, the anxiety got the better of me. I'm so scared that everything's going okay, the pg symptoms starting to come & go have really unsettled me. Only 2 weeks until my nt scan, feels like a lifetime away. The stress of buying & selling is getting to me too. We'll be putting an offer on the house we like tomorrow.
It sounds wonderful having 3 scans and I think they're perfectly placed apart too. As much as I love the NHS it's a long wait until 12 weeks! Are you bothered about a nub shot seeing as you're scan is quite early on? I'm more than happy to wait until 20 weeks, I just want see that the baby is okay. That really is all I care about at the mo

Oh and if all goes to plan re house we'll be moving when I'm around 20 weeks. Only a half hour drive to the seaside town that we're hoping to move to. Better than moving from north of Scotland to north of England when I was 30 weeks pg with ds2!
Mind you, both moves pale into insignificance when I heard what you're about to do Emily!! You're one brave lady moving countries like that especially when pg. Does Dh's work help you with the move?
