To Sway or Not to Sway

DH and I have agreed that we want to move forward with #4 (timing still TBD) and of course, I still have that longing desire to have a DD. We are so in love with our 6-week baby boy that right now I can honestly say another boy would be just great, but I really, really want a DD too.

My last sway was a great experience but I definitely think I got a little obsessed and tried so hard to get everything perfect...which is less than ideal for a pink swayer!! So, for this last and final baby, I am wondering should I sway hard or try to incorporate some easy things (skip b-fast and eat little meat) and say a little prayer to the man above? What would you do???

I think the girl sway has continued to evolve and has been further calibrated since your TTC your last baby.

I'm sure atomic could look at your last attempt and offer suggestions.

I'm all for giving it all you've got though.

When you have 3 of a kind....you have to realize there is something going on that tips you in the odds of having more boys (which is entirely possible to enjoy having alot of boys but you would never believe that hanging around Gender Disappointment websites for some odd reason LOL)

So in my mind, skipping breakfast and not eating meat isn't going to really get you anywhere. If I look at a few of my boy conceptions, by swaying standards they *should* of been girls...but they are not. Thats the way it goes with swaying, as it sounds like you well know. You need to know 100% in your heart and soul and every fiber of your being, that the child will most likely be a boy and be ok with that or be willing to do the work to come to terms with it. I wish swaying came with that disclaimer, but so many times it seems women are shocked that swaying didn't work and its really heart-breaking.

Fwiw, I think 4 boys is rad

I would sway again, why not, you already know the in's and out's of it may be it would be a lot less stressful for you Congratulations on your little guy!!
    Hoping for a pink rainbow!

I had an unsuccessful sway with DS3 but in retrospect it was a pretty lousy sway.
Next time around I put in as much research and effort as I could and it worked. Should be getting my girl in the next 4 weeks. Swaying is definitely not 100% but short of HT (which I tried and failed) it is the best chance of improving the odds. However you have to be prepared for it to fail and be okay with either gender, easier said than done.

hey NC your sway was awsome chick i'm not being critical at all but you might remember me we started ttc around the same time by the time i conceived i had been on the diet for 8 months, salsa on my dd thread is also having a girl and was on the diet for 9 months. I wonder if the diet works best if you stick with it for 3-4months first? I don't know but i do know i would have killed for your sway and that's pretty much the only way my sway was stronger. i know lassie was on the diet for ever and still had a boy so just a thought

i'm also considering a second sway to give my dd (fx) a sister...still debating! i think attitude might help too i was as obessive as you for first few months and then ran out of energy the month i conceived was my last attempt ;-S

keep us posted i'll be interested to hear your plan xxx

    Congrats Fish on your DD!!

Thank you ladies for your feedback! I know I would regret not swaying if #4 turns out to be a boy so I think you are all right! Now I just have to figure out when to sway and when to start the diet.

DS3 is 6 weeks now and I think I have decided I want them to be around 1.5 to 2 years apart. I know it will be hard, but I want to get being pregnant over with and I want them to be close too. So that would mean that we would need to start TTC in December...7 months away! I do have about 35 lbs to lose too!
