    girl diet

    I am just woundering is tuna in springwater ok to eat on the girl sway and also are prawns ok... I am not sure if i have read about eating seafood while ttc a girl, if i have i cant remember.

    i just read a post before will have to try and find it again... Tuna is a no no as it is an oily fish most fish are not allowed on girl diet.. as for prawns still searching!

    seems like most fish aren't OK - wish someone would post a list of fish that IS ok!
    I know in the French diet prawns (well, shellfish in general) are a no-no

    oh ok thanks for letting me know that. Are you on the diet yet? I started yesterday so will be on it for 7 weeks before ttc... i hope that is long enogh before our first attempt!

    I think atomic had said in the past, only eat fish in moderation and if you do have White fish like plaice, lemon sole. Might bi wrong though!!!

    pinkin - no, not yet. my AFs haven't returned yet since having my son, so will wait until they resume before doing the diet

    jjc3434 we will be trying our sway the same month! I am not a real big fish eater but i do like tuna... i was thinking of making some plain sushi but i have not read the sodium amount on the seaweed sheets yet. pretty hard to make it tasty without using the rice vinegar and no fish or carrott will have to think of something else.

    ha ha ha can give it a go.. Maybe a plain bowl of rice with some sea weed paper on the side, yum! I hope these next 7 weeks go FAST! i can do it! ha 7 weeks may be alot longer yet .

    I prefer that you not have ANY animal protein if you can while TTC a girl. But I know that people do want to have some protein now and then, so if you can keep under 40 g of protein a day and have a little meat, that is fine.

    Tuna I would totally avoid because it has the omega 3 fish oils that are extremely healthy and good for fertility.

    Shellfish, of any meat, I think is the best for a pink sway. If you had, say, 3 prawns with dinner, twice a week, that is fine. 33 prawns a day, on the other hand, not so much.
