Babydes, I definitely have to be positive now. I've had a crappy month really, and now with my ex's wife pg, it is just about all I can do now. Would you take the DHEA if you were me? I did just google "is FSH level high right after m/c?" and it appears that your FSH level can fluctuate all the time and stress is a big factor also, so I am not sure if I should jump to a conclusion that it is all bad right away. But.....I want to start the DHEA now if we ttc in August and turns out I do need it.....what would you do? And how are you feeling????
FSH level high right after m/c I will google that for more info.

    LH (LUTEINIZING HORMONE) 6.8
Thyroid a little .21 over standard range

Some of the blood panel tests a little below normal range but I didn't see any red flags from the on-line results. Will have to wait to hear from Dr. to be sure.
I don't know anything about these numbers, but let's hear what your doc has to say. Hope everything is okay. KUP.

My opinion is this: if you can convince him to quit it all, it's much better for your sway and much better for him also! But, I know, easier said than done. When you are at my point in ttc and have said to DH, "Either you quit this or I am done ttc because I'm not playing games anymore," then just keep at him in a positive, non-nagging way.
This doesn't freak me out at all, and I really appreciate this. I think I will talk to him tonight and tell him he really needs to try to cut back. I understand its not something he just give up cold turkey. But if he really wants to make a valiant effort to "sway" for a boy he needs to hold up his end of the bargain. And this would be really important. I am not going to argue, like you said. I will just flat out say if he doesn't want to stop then we wont TTC. I also think I will print up some smoking and fertility info for him.

So against the odds your pot-head friend has 2 boys and sometimes crackheads have healthy babies, just because some folks rock the stats does it really make it worth the risk? Not to be a buzz kill but he needs to do his part to to insure a healthy fetus too.

I love the comparison so crack babies. LOL. But you are right. YOu make a really good point.

Well, I had to tell mine, after 9 months of ttc and 2 m/c that I am not willing to ttc anymore unless we do EVERYTHING in line with good fertility, like best odds. I told him that smoking is notorious for causing poor sperm (even mutating them) so I was not willing to do this anymore unless he was willing to do everything he could at this point. I mean, IVF clinics wouldn't even take us as patients if he smoked, it is that ridiculous of a thing to do when you are having fertility issues.

I didn't mean to sound like you should put your foot down from the get-go....but if your DH responds to that, then maybe you should!

I am trying to look it up also....lots of my googles have yeilded forum questions about high FSH making you have miscarriages. I have not had my numbers tested, just took that fertility test that came with the hpts, but Iluv's was high, but she did just have a birth like 6 months ago. Let us know if you find anything!

It's so weird to think about all this now. It feel like such pressure. When we got pregnant with our DD I smoked, We both did. Me just cigs and him both. I never smoked the special kind, not my thing. I enjoy a cocktail! When I found out I obviously quit immediately. And then I breast fed forever and never went back. It was so easy to conceive her, It took nothing but one drunken night on our wedding anniversary! Now all this to get a boy! It's so crazy! I am really going talk with him tonight! We have good communication and he is always open to anything. We have been together for 9 years. So we shall see...Wish me luck!
