Most clinics will want you to wait at least six months after delivery of your baby before undertaking pre testing for IVF. Pre testing involves some blood tests, an ultrasound and at some clinics a sonohysterogram. If you intend to breastfeed your baby you will also have to wait a few natural cycles after ceasing breastfeeding to allow your hormones to return to normal.
In the meantime you have lots of time to research clinics and prepare for consultations. I saw your post over on the member HT board. As you are so young, I think you have an excellent chance of success at the right clinic.

It doesn't work. It is the same old sperm separation stuff. I think it unlikely that they have some amazing new technology and are keeping to themselves, not publishing it or filing a patent. Please remember: These claims are dubious as the total mass of an X-bearing sperm is 17.114 trillionths of a gram and that of a Y-bearing sperm is 16.886 trillionths of a gram. Separating two objects that differ in mass by 0.228 trillionth of a gram with a simple gradient column has been likened to 'plucking an eye lash with a pipe wrench'. This, no doubt, accounts for the complete lack of peer reviewed, independent confirmatory studies regarding the Ericsson method or similar methods.

I am soon turning 28 my husband is 30. We have 2 girls expecting a 3rd. I have never had any trouble getting pregnant. We are both very healthy and fit. I would love to do pgd ivf to have a boy but just can't afford it. I came across a doctor in Kentucky (5 hrs away) who does sperm sorting and iui for $1500-2000 a cycle. They say 1 in 4 chance of getting pregnant with one cycle and 78% boy. What do you think of that? I was thinkin about having Dh take Cyvita to prepare also.
