testing PH while on birth control

Hi ladies

Im wondering if I will get the same reading on yaz birth control as to when I come off it in August? Can I test my PH now for an accurate reading or does BC do something to my PH?

Id like to know if its low as TTC girl.

No, you will not get the same reading now. It will be meaningless. Don't bother.

ah ha, thanks for that! I wont bother just yet then. How about the day I come off the pill, can I test then?

You can test whenever you want of course, but it's not going to tell you anything relevant except right around ovulation. Your pH can vary dramatically around ovulation.

So you are saying that Birth control will alter my reading? So if i happen to test low now, it might not be the case once im off BCP?

Yes, that's what we are trying to say. It's not the birth control per se, it's that EVERYONE'S pH will be very low except at ovulation, so if you test when you aren't ovulating, it tells you nothing of value.
