Hi!
iVF #1: m/c at 14 weeks, genetically normal girl, devastated
IVF #2: gorgeous g/g twins that started as g/g/g triplets, m/c one at 11w2d
The little ladies are beyond amazing now at 18 months,
I'm about to head back for IVF #3 and are considering PGD toward boys, as we are clearly girl manufacturers.. However, we hesitate because we've only ever made 3 day transfers and have never had frosties or particularly good-looking embryos. So we might chicken out at PGD if we have clear winners at Day 3. I would LOVE to have a boy and am figuring out if that urge overwhelms my apprehension about multiple future cycles.

Gearing up for IVF #3 after G/G Twins

Welcome! Well, the great news is that IVF can clearly work for you! We have a very large IVF/PGD community but most are in the Private/Member section which requires you to become a Dream Member to access.
I did IVF/PGD for a boy!

Hi! I was in a very similar position to you--well i had one boy from IVF and knew I would go for twins this time if I had the option. DH and I went back and forth whether we would do gender selection. We also had success on day 3 so we were so nervous about doing day 5 or day 6 transfer. Well (as only some on here know), we decided if we only had 1 or 2 we would maybe not do PGD. We did our cycle (and now our RE was able to tweak my protocol to get better quality) and now we are 11 weeks pregnant with twin girls (hopefully-still have a long way to go as you know).
Did you naturally miscarry one baby at 11w2d and your other two are okay? That's comforting because I keep getting nervous about one of my twins (she's a little behind) and then I"m nervous it will affect the other one.
Good luck let me know if you have any questions.(born March, 2012)--IVF at RMANY (no GS for first one since no real preference-said we'd do it for second one)--23 eggs--12 fertilized with ICSI--1 frozen
March/April 2013--SIRM NY--23 eggs, 15 embryos, 2 girls transferred, 1 girl and 1 unknown (only 4 celled at day 3 so no biopsy) frozen. BFP on HPT at 6dp5dt, Beta at 8dp5dt=70, Beta at 10dp5dt=216, 1 hb at 6 weeks, ob appt at 7w2d--wow it's twins!!!
CVS--2 HEALTHY GIRLS! Our twin girls were born 6 weeks early, but doing fabulously and we are so in love!! Our family is complete!!!

Hi! Alreadyneedivf, yes, you're right, exactly. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
With mine, I lost one and went on to have the other two very early, 31w5d. They're perfectly great after a month in NICU back in December '11. No lasting effects and nothing related to in utero exposure to our little lady angelDH and I are also going back and forth! And we're also from NYC! I work just a little north of Grand Central, in Finance. You?
... Need to figure out what a dream member is and how to become one ...

Oh so funny--I work right near you--about 10 blocks north of grand central! Where did you cycle?
To become a dream member--there is a tab for membership and plans--you click on that and then it's only $12 for the year. This is such a supportive community, whether you choose to do gs or not (much better than all the fertility forums I"m also on). There are a bunch of us from NY area who always talk!(born March, 2012)--IVF at RMANY (no GS for first one since no real preference-said we'd do it for second one)--23 eggs--12 fertilized with ICSI--1 frozen

Awesome! I work @ 48th and Park and cycle at IVFNJ's offices on 34th and also in Short Hills. Really great experiences. I have many friends who've done Cornell and one or two who've done SIRM. It's so wonderful to live in a place with state of the art care at arm's reach.
Tomorrow is CD3 and I'm going to call for bloodwork. They will hold me until next month in order to order meds. I'm procrastinating slightly because I'm a little tempted to change jobs, and I'd have to put in a full year in order to get maternity leave if I switch. American problems ...

funny I'm on 53rd and 5th for work--so very close.
Do you live in NJ? We are moving soon. My two friends had great success with IVFNJ--they went to the freehold one though and loved it there. One is actually doing a FET as we speak. I looked into them but they said I couldn't go to NY that often and so i went with SIRM.
That's awesome you may get another job--good luck with that! Keep us all updated on what you decide to do! Feel free to email me (alreadyneedivf@gmail.com) or private message me to chat more
