Waiting4Daisy, added you. With your dream and user name, does that mean your little girl would be called Daisy then?
Mathilde, sorry, but I have none left as I fell pregnant on the 2nd cycle and one packet was for two cycles.
Emily, this is what I found about the nub theory:
If you get your scan at 11 weeks, it can be difficult to tell the difference between the genders. A scan at 12 weeks is around 75% accurate and at 13 weeks it's closer to 95% accurate.

Can you remind me please who else will not be finding out until the birth, so I can add it to the 1st post? I haven't been able to find a green stork, so I hope a yellow one will do.

Thank you hun. Yes Daisy has been our girl name forever so hope I will get to use it. What about your girl name? A yellow stork is certainly fine by me. I am actually quite looking forward to having a birth room surprise since I've never had one before but will prob end up nub sessing anyway!

Welcome Waiting4daisy.....I remember you back from IG! I hope that you get a chance to use your girl name! I had a team green pregnancy with DS1, but DH is going to force my hand this go around too!! He wanted to know with DS2, I am glad I have had the opportunity to have at least one delivery room surprise!!
2lovely.....it is hard to not hide out, I want to disappear for the next few weeks from IRL and the comments when I am announcing that I am pregnant. I don't feel like fielding "you must want a girl" comments this week in particular!! Glad to see your ticker and the weeks flying by!!
Gecon...baby raspberry is looking good! I love that you have one of the bump tickers like mine.....my boy made the comment on week ten that the baby is the size of a rock (prune)!
Bunnywabbit.....you are not out until AF arrives! Hope that you get your sticky bfp soon!'06'06

After being toldat 18 weeks, the prayed and swayed for "lady"bug is in my belly. Our Christmas gift comes with some health challenges, but I know that we are strong family and will celebrate her!

Thanks GEcon, my scan is 12 weeks on the dot but the last scan was measuring slightly under and AF was a bit weird for the last few months before my BFP so I could be looking at 11.5 weeks so I guess I could be looking at no more than 50 50. I don't think this is high enough odds for all the obsessing that I would do. Hmm tough call. I think I won't ask for any side pictures and just try to enjoy the scan ...... But if I see something I might ask the doc to stop so I can have a closer look- leave it up to the bean to decide!

Waiting for daisy.... Welcome, congratulations on your BFP.
Emily and Gecon......My NT scan is at nearly 14 weeks so in theory should be more reliable but that scares me even more. I'm not ready to 'kind of' know in two weeks. And at 14 weeks a boy is going to be sooo obvious. I want to find out at a gender scan where I can mentally prepare for the outcome. Maybe I'm being silly but as much as I'm looking forward to seeing the babe, I'm dreading it just as much!
Its definitely a self-preservation thing thinking its a boy. I'm optimistic when swaying and TTC and then as soon as I'm pregnant it all feels completely hopeless and i think to myself....well its a 95% chance it's going to have a willy... You don't make girls!! Like you Emily I wish I could be more optimistic.2006

Sorry ladies, but I need to rant.
Spoke to my mum earlier and we told family about 2 weeks or so ago. So she is asking how I am feeling and I respond "Not too bad really". And she sighs and goes "Oh... just like with your 1st pregnancy". "I mean it is obviously nice that you are feeling good, but sometimes if you are experiencing MS, it could be a little girl."
Well, thanks for that. Not only are you telling me that I may not be carrying a girl, but you are also giving me the strong impression that you'd like us to have a little girl.
Now they don't even know that we'd love to have a little girl, nevermind that we swayed, but this really annoyed me.

Gecon mum's can be the worst at making you feel like this. My mum said to my SIL in front of me on Sunday. If you're only going to have one child it's best to have a girl! I mean WTH!!!! I was right there in the room and so were my boys!!!
For what it's worth I had MS so bad with DS4 I was in hospital on a drip more than once and he was a boy! It's just an old wives tale.
Don't let her get to you sweetheart. I know its hard but just concentrate on how you feel about this little bubs. That's my new goal for this pregnancy is to just concentrate on how I feel about the baby and sod anyone else. My mum has upset me so many times over gender that I'm not letting it get to me any more. ((Hugs))2006

Hi Everyone! Just checking in and catching up here. We made our two attempts for this cycle and it looks like I am back in the 2WW. Hoping and praying that cycle 11 will be the lucky one! If not I think it is going to be time for me to beg my Dr. for Clomid. I am just so scared about increasing the possibility of twins though. Here's to hoping that this is the month so that I don't have to make that decision!!
Glad to hear you all seem to be coming along well and I know I will be the same....convinced I am carrying another boy if/when I ever get pregnant! I think it's natural to try and prepare and protect ourselves from GD by having that mindset. Statistically there have to be some pink ones though girls, surely you are not all having boys!! I can't wait until we start hearing some news on the gender of these little ones. Exciting!! And for those going team green, what an awesome surprise that will be. Wish I had the strength and patience to consider doing that. In any case, I guess I need to get pregnant first before I start thinking about all of these things....

TTCPink, fingers crossed this is your month and you won't need the Clomid. When will you be starting to test? Should you need the Clomid, just make sure that you take it CD5-9, which is supposed to increase the quality (rather than the quantity if you take it earlier in the cycle) of the egg, which reduces chances of twins.
I have added you to to the 1st post as being cheered on.
3boys, thanks for making me feel better and sorry about your mum being insensitive to you and your boys.
