2lb, sorry to hear that your mum is making things more difficult for you to deal with. I am trying to keep away from googling symptoms and stuff, mainly because I don't think I'll like the outcome. I am with you on the body hair issue though and had the exact same thoughts.![]()

Gecon, google is so dangerous. I did find that a lot of women with our symptoms had boys but some although not as many still had girls, there is still hope!
Have you posted your sway? I haven't yet as I'm waiting until my 12 week scan (still no date for) and confirmation all is well, will post it once its all done!DS12010

GeCon, it really is a great sway you couldn't have done anymore! Sorry if I got you down it wasn't my intention! This waiting and gender comments make it worse!

You're not getting me down, 2lb. It's the way I am feeling and I am glad we can share our feelings on here. And by the looks of it most of us are feeling similarly.

2lovelyboys - step away from Google!! It'll do your sanity no good at all! I'm guessing that the hair growth maybe influenced a lot by the fact that the LE diet did a lot to lower testosterone levels and now you're eating more normally for you, it's to be expected that your testosterone will increase - hence hair growth. Sooo many women report totally different pg symptoms with children of the same sex, so don't let it get you down
BTW, I had very dry skin with ds2 and it's even worse & a lot more sensitive this time around. I can't believe you haven't had your 12 week scan date yet!
Gecon, how are you feeling?2007

Dream, that made me feel better, hadn't thought of it that way but its true, LE hopefully lowered T and now I'm back to a healthy diet it may have kick started my system. I'm liking that theory! Still no scan! I have my first midwife appointment on Wednesday at 10 weeks (booked it 3 weeks ago), will be a paper filling exercise, no pregnancy checks
I'm assuming they will then send of for my scan date?!
GeCon, I agree that we all seem to be feeling the same, it's great to have somewhere to discuss our fears/ worries/concerns etc!
Just another question ladies, DS2 is 11 months old, do you think I would still have elevated levels of T in my blood ****** from my pregnancy with him when I conceived this little one? Yet another comment my mother made!DS12010

I'm okay, thanks for asking, Dreamofpink. I am still getting the occasional sickness/nausea, but it is manageable. How are you? I can't believe you are already 15+1. 6 more days and you could get a private gender scan. When will you be finding out?

Oh dear, your Mum isn't particularly helpful is she?! I thought I read on the thread about intersex babies that babies produce their own testosterone in utero. I'll see if I can post a link for you. Surely if that's the case, then your levels will be normal for you by now? If you've breastfed ds2 too then that'd be bound to alter your hormone levels, I'd have thought. Don't get too hung up on testosterone levels though. I know that I had quite a few black chin hairs during my pg with ds2 but I was slightly overweight when I conceived him and used my pg as a license to eat whatever I liked! I noticed that my hair growth slowed down when I was at my lowest weight on LE, but it did increase slightly once I got pg.
It's now not back to pre-le levels but the one thing that I have noticed is my hairs are not as coarse now and are much softer & lighter (on my legs, chin) That's quite a big change for me, but I was in poor health before I fell pg and now I'm busy growing another baby, so I guess my hair's the last thing my body worries about!2007
