hopeful the as dark on one side of the line - I take that as a positive with mine!! I actually read up on them and also realised this was the case with the ones I use- I have NEVER got a line the same darkness as the control the whole thickness- the most I tend to get is about half thickness as dark-mabye yours are the same?

Tink, I get the opk strips from early preg tests.com, but I order a ton so they are cheap. And love the fertility bracelet! You are attempting this month, right?
Hopeful, I am not sure what to make of your situation.....in my opinion, if you don't get a definite positive, you didn't O. I think your body can get darn near close with the estrogen, which in turn causes the LH to rise, but unless it gets to a certain high level, it is not a true "surge" and won't trigger ovulation. It may indeed be that the supps are causing a little havoc, but it may also be that you did indeed ovulate and like 3PNB, your tests just don't get super dark. Mine do, so I know that if they are *close* to the line color, then they are not quite positive yet. I would just keep on and wait for AF (or poas) and maybe drop a few supps or something. Also, are you sure you are testing with opks properly? That can do it also. And I will say, I don't think the diluted urine makes a difference. You MUST not pee for 4 hours, and whether or not you drink a gallon of water in that 4 hours and have a bladder that is about to burst, you will still get an accurate test, but you need 4 hours for the LH to accumulate in your urine for an accurate reading. My first month with opks and ttc (um, last August, ugh!), I was at a music festival in Chicago and was drinking tons of water as I was in the sun all day (and didn't want to tempt myself with beer). I kept getting negative tests, through CD13,14,15. I thought I was because I was drinking so much water. Turns out, I was just peeing too much in between testing, because on CD16 I did get a very positive test, and I was drinking the same amount of water, just holding the pee so it was in there for 4 hours. I hope that makes sense! It is kinda like the same thing with pg tests....why you use FMU when you are poas early.
Babydes......I am dying for you, I cannot tell you how much I am praying this is your month, girl!!!
And of course, all of you other lovely ladies, much love and hope that all is going according to our little blue plans!

Tink - I used to use em, they worked great but I got horrible evaps from their pregnancy tests so I started getting different ones off eBay. The last batch I bought was 30 for 9ish bucks.

Hi ladies! So much to catch up on, our thread moves fast these days. Had a crap weekend and am glad we are attempting next week not this week, b/c if I was due to O right now DH and I would both be like, H-NO we don't want to get pg, LOL. Anyhow one of the crap things is my DD2 is sick again ... poor kiddo picks up every virus around I swear.
Hope.ful I'm so sorry to hear about the BFN! I am with Lola on the OPK, where I know mine get CLEARLY positive. But it sounds like Jen has had some like you describe, so maybe that is just how a + looks for you?
Sunnye how long have you been taking all of those supps? B/c ITA that the combo you're taking could definitely change your cycle. Just wondering if you were taking them last cycle and noticed anything different then.
Jen your ticker is so fun to watch :-)
TTC5 when will you test? You're 5DPO know right?
Babydes how about you? You must be getting close to knowing. I really, really hope this is your month!!!
Tink do you have a usual date you ovulate? With a 25 day cycle I think the advice you got to test CD8 is perfect. I usually start then too, b/c I have O'd as early as day 10 twice now, but it is much more standard for me to O CD14.
Well AF is over for me so now I'm just waiting for signs of O! Last month was CD10 but I really think this month will be closer to CD14, and I'm CD6 now. I've already decided I'm not going to stress about timing. We aren't going to DTD every day or anything but I'm totally fine with it if we end up DTD every other day from now to O. We shall see how it works out though; I'd be happy if our timing naturally coincided with a +OPK and abstinence but I'm not trying too hard to force it.

Hi ladies, hope you all had a fab weekend. I didnt, had a fall out with someone i thought was friend but turned out they were just using me the whole time, ah well we live & learn. Lola, Begonia thanks for all the luck but i'm not hopeful. I'm 10dpo so should be testing by thurs.
Begoina, great to see you'll be making your attempt soon
TTC5, have you had any more symptoms besides the sharp pain in both your ovaries?
Lola, how's it going with the dieting? Have you started the DHEA or are you not bothering with it
Jen, How you feeling? Do you feel preg yet?
Sorry if i've forgotten some people i'm just trying to catch up

Babydes, so sorry you had that to deal with! Nothing worse than that kind of shit. I hope you are chilling out though and not too stressed about it. I am excited for you to test! Don't lose hope yet....you never know!
I am taking the DHEA again, 75mg daily this time. I started it on June 1, along with all sorts of other antioxidants, so we'll see what happens. I am going to see my dr at the beginning of July, and she MAY put me on Clomid for Aug, not sure yet, but if she thinks I should, I trust her.
GL for Thursday! And WTH no one is on FB anymore....

I feel like AF's preparing itself, we'll see. What antioxidants are you taking now? If AF comes then i'll be taking clomid 50mg days 2-6. Did you have your cd3 bloods done? I too will be taking DHEA if all fails this month. If you go on clomid do you have to pay for it. Sorry i didnt get back to you about if i have to pay for my fertility treatments, the answer is no but if i have ivf then i will have to because i have 2 children already. I'm thinking of asking for IUI if i have to do clomid to up my chances, i wonder if it sways

Well, when I was pg both times, I felt AFish. Don't let it get you down. I have cramps and feel like crap either way. I'm CD11 today, so just tracking w opks to see when I ovulate on the DHEA this month, but no attempts. I'll have the hormone levels tested on CD3 next cycle at the end of this month. I'm going to have them test my DHEA levels (even though I am taking it) just to see what it is....maybe it will be a normal level with me supplementing, and if its high, then I will cut back on my DHEA. I don't feel bad, though, but do have a higher sex drive and am more awake first thing in the morning.
We are both also taking 100mg CoQ10, Pynogenol, Astaxanthin (which is red oil from krill, some new hot antiox that the health food store lady swore by, it's not too expensive and is little red oil pills), an antiox mix, like a muti-antiox, that has a zillion things in it, which was more expensive. Also, we are going fish and flaxseed oils, and DH is taking pumpkin seed oil and I'm doing EPO. Both taking Vit D. I'm also doing royal jelly and bee pollen in the morning with my prenatal. DH is taking my prenatal also, actually. We both take 25mg zinc also. He is also doing LArg, but not me. We're gonna do this until the AF-O of the attempt cycle in August, and I will add in gelatin and ASG and maybe a potassium pill, maybe a few mild other things. I have been just eating healthy for now, trying to lose a few pounds, but I will add back in lots of healthier boy diet stuff once July comes, like more bananas and tomatoes and some salt.
I will have to pay for Clomid, but only like $8 US per prescription with my insurance. So, they only let you do IVF on the gov't dime if you have no children yet? Interesting. That sort of doesn't seem fair. Has your DH done an SA yet? I think IUI sways boy, they put the sperm right up there by your egg right after they trigger your O. I'd give that a shot for sure.
My girlfriend was telling me yesterday that her sister did IVF (had B/G but no pgd, incidently), because she and her Dh tried for 2 years and no luck....all tests came back ok, but it was his sperm, which they finally figured out was unable to penetrate the egg for some reason, so IVF was the only way. And then, of course, she got pg naturally a year after the twins were born.
We are getting our tests done this week, which is good! I am doing the blood clot tests and DH's SA.
