Can a person miss a positive opk even if they check once daily?

I think so....that is why I usually test twice a day, at about 1 or 2pm and then again in the evening.

I had to test 3 times a day so I wouldn't miss it!

Well, if I did ovulate I have a 2 day cut-off.... I guess that's better than nothing! I had pretty much zero fertile mucus, DTD with lots of Sylk, it wasn't shallow but I didn't O...and was on top LOL I test in 7 days....As for diet....I had only been on it for 3 days!! LOL! Oh well....

Thankyou for getting back to me! So looking back, here's what I think happened. Ive been checking at 10 am everyday so I think that I started to surge that am(2nd) but it hadn't reached my urine yet. I had some pain around 3pm in my ovaries. I think that if I had rechecked at 3 pm I would have seen a clear positive. But I didn't check until 10 am on the 3rd. The opk was almost a positive, just slightly lighter. I then has some sharp pains at midnight on the 3rd. Soooo, looking back I'm pretty sure that I ovulated. Who knows though. Can a person miss a positive opk even if they check once daily?

Yes you can I was testing only once at 6/7am fist pee! I had very faint lines for a few days then nothing although felt crampy for a few days! i wasn't able to test throughout the day as I drink a lot and pee a lot and rubbish at testing cervix! Anyway my temp did rise and I had FF adjust my chart to FAM (fertility awareness method) and saw that I did ovulate... Total surprise cycle as I got my BFP over the weekend!!

GL, I wanted to let you know, I get awakened a fair amount too breastfeeding, but I have managed to chart shortly after my PP period returns, with success- almost always detecting a thermal shift (even if I am awakened at 5 am, and then go back to sleep, and 2 hours later take my temp at 7 am). It is porbably not as accurate but I do have a definite first half and secondf half, so it might be something for you to try to see if you get regualr temps,
