Tree, I wish I had waited for the 20 week scan I thought that knowing earlier would help but I'm still not convinced 100% and my scan photos are clear as day but I keep finding forums on the net that say boy at 16 wks then girl at 20 and instead of accepting my boy I'm praying that happens to me ..
I would get one if u are not as obsessing as me lol
I hope you don't have to do any second guessing and that u get ur dg xxx

Totally totally get that, and can imagine I would feel the same in your position. I am a bit scared of the 12-13 week nub shot (if I manage to get one). I'm scared of guesses for a theory I'm not 100% sold on. But in the same moment I'm too obsessed not to ask! Damned if I do, damned if I don't. I wish someone sold a pin prick test that would just test my blood so I could know now! Screw paying almost a thousand dollars for the test that tells you!

My pic didn't show a clear nub it was facing the wrong way I think , my brothers wife just had a12 week scan and I asked him to send me a pic , their baby is the only cousin so far for my 3 boys (and 4 th ) I think the nub looks girly as her pic is clearer than mine and I just know its the first granddaughter ! Silly nub theory lol
I visited a friend tonight with a 3 week old baby boy and it was nice to have newborn cuddles as my youngest is 4 !
It's also nice to cuddle a baby boy as all the bubs at Playgroup the last year have been girls which just makes me long for one xx

lol, I feel you all! This is why we aren't finding out and waiting until delivery. I just can't fathom hearing boy again at 20 weeks. It was not a fun experience either time, and I think it's mainly because of the random tech we don't know telling us. I would get them to write it down, but if it said girl I wouldn't believe it and want confirmation. I don't have GD though and know if it's a boy I'd so much rather find out at the delivery when I know I'm going to be obsessed with him either way! My 20 weeks scan is booked for less that 2 weeks and the thought of finding out makes me want to throw up... we're waiting lol!

Meeks - I felt the same about the nub, I didn't do the scan because I didn't want to stress over the theory. There have been way to many on here getting all guesses of one gender and going opposite - it just gives hope when their might not be any.. but if I got one, there's no way I couldn't have posted it!!! Such weird emotions that go with all this - especially knowing it's 10000000000% your last!

Oxox-I wouldn't worry about the reading at all. Those are fun but really her guess is 50-50 for sure!

Rainbow-I think you have a great chance at a girl! I read somewhere at #4
Your body goes back to 50-50 so the chances are pretty great! Plus your sway was really strong too!

Tree-I am nervous for a gender scan too. It's very final! I am waiting till 20 weeks so I can dream a little longer! My gut says boy but my heart says girl! Oh the limbo!!!!

Doing good over here! Much better than my odd night a couple of days ago!

Thanks girls! I am really trying not to put too much stock into it but that stuff has a way with messing with your head! Like most of you, I am very nervous for my 20 week scan! Since I missed the nub opportunity, I have zero clue what this baby is. All I know is that my symptoms are way different, I am not really showing yet (which I was with boys) and overall like you soar, I feel in my heart this is my girl. I know that these things really make no difference whatsoever in regards to gender, but I cant help but hope! I have my next ob check tomorrow and I am nervous simply because I know they will schedule my anatomy scan! I mean just scheduling it makes me nervous... I wish I could convince my DH not to find out!

Glad everyone seems to be doing well.... I cant believe we are all getting so close to knowing one way or another!

Although I feel nervous about the scans I can't imagine waiting. I have had post natal in the past and couldn't risk GD causing it again at birth. I think I need 20 weeks to deal with it! For me, I have to have a Caesarian (past damage) so it's a pretty horrible and clinical experience at birth and I would much prefer the surprise to be in a calm warm ultrasound room where I am more in control of myself rather than drugged up and completely in the hands of the doctors (no matter how great they are).

Also I kind of don't want the birth to be dominated by gender comments or questions. I would rather field them before than after. I don't want anything tainting that high after having baby.

Oh, I totally think a c-section is another story when it comes to finding out at birth - It's not really an ideal situation for that. I also fully agree of the PPD front, that anything which could trigger worse feelings is probably a better idea to confront earlier on. With DS1 & 2 there was no way I could wait, this baby I can just tell I have no GD at all. We think a girl would make a pretty cool family dynamic, but I'm also so confident in same gender siblings that I'm so okay with that too. If I had any worry of GD I personally would have to find out. I found with both that I got GD after the ultrasound, but once baby was born I could care less. Hoping I just skip the midway GD since we aren't finding out and go straight to just being happy with whatever comes. Here's hoping

Aww Hun I know how u feel and I hope you feel better soon , my 4 th boy is due dec and I'm still upset about loosing my dream I'm sure he is going to be beautiful xx
