Hopefully the picture will post below - I've been waiting for a +OPK... I can't tell with this one, and it looks so close! What do you guys think? Or should I just spend the $60 and get the digital smiley? lol

I took another one a few hours later, and the line was much lighter... ugh!!! I just went to Target to get a digital... I think I'll take one before bed tonight, just to be sure.

Thanks ladies! I did end up getting the digital one last night, took it and no smiley.
I don't think I could have missed the surge, because I've been testing without fail twice a day. Once around 2pm, and once around 10pm. Unless it was a really short surge between 10pm and 2pm the following day. If I did miss it, we've been DTD every other day, so I guess there would still be hope if I missed the surge. Well, I will keep testing and now that I have the digital I can at least use it to confirm either way.

Same here....I used internet cheapies for dd1 and dd2. This time TTC a batch of cheapies I bought weren't as bold as I was used to and I missed my surge bc what was actually positive was considered negative by the opk reading rules. After that point I started using cheapies leading up to o and when I start seeing a second line popping up even if its faint I start using the digital opks. Good luck.

Alright so, I've been noticing a pattern... when I do my mid-day test, it's been a darkish line (like above - close but not quite positive). Then, when I do the evening test, it's much lighter! Then, next afternoon, dark again (just not quite dark enough!) This has been happening for the past 3 or 4 days. I don't drink a lot of water before the tests, so I don't think that is the problem. I get my hopes up every afternoon, thinking 'when I test later, it should be even darker...' and then it's not!
Has that ever happened to anyone? I feel like the line should get darker and darker leading up to O, then get lighter again. But, maybe that's not how it works and I just need to wait for the line to be as dark/darker?

that's the time of day the concentration of hormone peaks, so that is not unusual. That's why it's a good time of day to test.
It does not follow the pattern of getting gradually darker to O. Your body is making that hormone in small amounts all the time (as does your husband!!) it's only when it reaches a certain concentration that it signals your body to release an egg. That is when the line goes from being there, to being dark or darker than the control line.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
