Personally I went for 100g of protein daily with my blue sway for my 2yo - this is an excellent amount for preconception and also for a healthy pregnancy. I would also shoot for a carb rate around there. With my newborn (girl) I was getting plenty of protein but very low carbs (and losing weight). With our successful blue sway the protein and carbs were higher. Those both go along with TW well.

Thanks for the info Skrimpy, very helpful!
Gizmo I don't think the diet is the reason we've not had a bunch of BFP's ... at least not for those who are doing TW and including ca/mg. And we're having quite the run of BFP's nowBut many of the gals on here haven't started TTC yet either so I think that also might make it seem like there are lots of people, but not a lot of BFP's.

For those who don't know this already, I am posting the High-Everything/Low-Everything diets and all the diet plans, meals, shopping lists, etc. in the Dream Members section. I would rather put it out here but I'm afraid it will be stolen like all the IG stuff was. :/ It's not done yet but I've made a start and there is more and more coming.
Recommended amounts -
Calories - 2200-2600 or more if you are lifting a lot of weights and putting on muscle and you're happy with it
Protein - 90 grams or more
Fat - Unlimited healthy fats as long as you are not getting too many calories
Sodium - upwards of 4000 mg without going totally insane and ruining your health
Carbs are unlimited, fruits and veg should be a minimum of 9 servings a day. You don't need to stay totally away from simple carbs as long as you eat them WITH protein. You don't need to avoid carbs at all and in fact you shouldn't because grains have a lot of good stuff that can help you sway blue. They are very calorie-dense though so if you find that you're gaining too much, you can ease off of them.
In my High-Everything diet plan I am attempting to design it so that people get the most bang for their buck - the most variety of high-quality nutrients, with the least amount of calories (while still in the 2200-2600 range) so no one gains too much weight on this diet.!!! Yes, that's what I'm going for - the best quality sources of carbs that will keep blood glucose up and also help raise testosterone and boost fertility WITHOUT making people gain 10 bazillion pounds eating rice krispies LOL. These tend to be complex carbs like whole grains, fruits and vegetables, but you can eat simple carbs if you like them, as long as you eat protein WITH the carbs. Protein + carbs = boys.
3-5 pounds of muscle is the minimum weight gain - no need to gain more than that BUT you can gain more pounds of muscle, it will only help because muscle burns more calories than fat. I jsut don't want people to gain a lot of fat for health reasons.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

But just to clarify, you CAN still do cardio in moderation with the blue diet, esp muscle-building cardio like Taebo.
The whole "cardio sways pink" thing that is recommended on another website is an attempt to simplify my info and research and unfortunately it's bad advice and not at all the case.
Moderate exercise, esp. including weight training, while eating a high-everything diet and gaining a bit of weight, sways blue.
Intense exercise or NO exercise while eating a low-everything diet and losing weight sways pink. It's just that it's easier to overdo on cardio than it is on weight training and weight training tends to build muscle except when taken to very great extremes.
Cardio for 45 min 4 times a week will NOT hurt your chances of blue at all and in fact will help both to raise your testosterone and also to keep those cals burning off so you dont' gain a ton of weight.
Begonia, that is just what the science seems to indicate - if it's mostly carbs/sugar it tends to sway pink, if protein + carb + fat, it tends to sway blue. Even if the calories are exactly the same.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Yes, keep in mind this site only went online 6 months ago so very few of us have even begun to sway!
If anything, I hope that we will have higher rates of BFPs more quickly and also perhaps even fewer miscarriages by eating a more balanced, fertility friendly High-Everything diet.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
