I think that individuals are not set to have a particular gender in certain months, even if you've had boys or girls in those months before. I DO think there is a mild trend for ALL people to be a small amount more boy friendly in the N Hemi with conceptions in Sept-Nov, and girl friendly in the months Mar-May (reversed for S Hemi). But this is not a set in stone thing, it's a gradual peak that slowly increases, and I believe Feb. to also be more girl friendly because it's coming into the peak. I would hate to see anyone postpone swaying simply because they'd had a baby of a certain gender in a a particular month.

It's totally possible to get boys in the girl peak and vice versa, but over the whole population there is a def. statistical difference between the numbers of boys and girls conceived in those months that seems to stay consistent year in and year out. It something that may help a bit. But it's no magic bullet and if it isn't convenient for your family to TTC in those months, then DON't. you can get a boy or a girl in any month, no matter what.

I got 2 of my boys in the "girl peak" and my girl in the "boy peak". That DOES NOT mean that I am "immune to seasons" or that I am "the opposite" of normal. It just means that even tho I was just as affected by the seasons as we all are, I had so much in my life swaying the other way that I was able to still conceive a baby of the opposite gender those months. (plus LUCK)

A handful of people on a gender swaying board where we are already here because we have a plethora of boys between us, does not prove or disprove anything. The studies that demonstrated this were done on many thousands of people over years and years by a reliable source, and show a consistent effect to the seasons. You guys know that I don't take any study at face value and I really really really did not want to believe in this (because I know it sounds hokey) but I looked into it extensively and I am 100% convinced there's something to the day length and swaying. It's certianly no magic bullet but when it comes to gender ratio, if something sways gender consistently, year in and year out, that means something we can't just ignore because it didn't happen to hold true for us.

All 3 of mine were conceived at the end of March/ very beginning of April. This means we will have all three birthdays within two and a half week of each other the week after Christmas. Add to that mix my Mum who was born on Christmas day and DH who was born between Ds1 and 2. Not ideal for budgeting but I have just found out that I am having DD1 so do not think it is a big sway factor.

    Good luck!
it can add to the festivities if you have a lot of birthdays!!

105.9:100 B:G born in Apr-Jun (so likely conceived in Jul-Sep)

105.2:100 B:G born in Oct-Dec (so likely conceived in Jan-Mar)

so that's about 1 extra boy born per 100 girls when conceived in Jul-Sept, which isn't a big difference really

DD's birthday is in November. DH's birthday is also in November. I have 3 half sisters and they were all born in different seasons. I myself was born in December. My husbands sisters .. one was born in summer and one in fall. I wouldn't take too much stock in seasons having much to do with gender.

Two of my girls were conceived in Summer and my 3rd was conceived in Winter! Don't worry too much about Seasons.

still doesn't say exactly how much more likely it is... might be a statistically significant but small difference
