MsBlakely - Yeah, that would be tough...would totally get my hopes up. Was telling a girlfriend yesterday that we're having another boy, but told her how sure I was going into this pregnancy that we would have a girl, and she said, "Well, maybe it actually is a girl!" My dad said the same thing, and it's hard not to take those things to heart...and I already know I'm having a boy from MaterniT21!!

I have the gender envelope in my hands! My DH took it in his briefcase bc he said I would look!

The sonographer was so sweet and nice. She let us look at the baby for a long time! My guy instinct when I looked at the baby was boy. I don't know why but it did. So I definitely want to wait until Monday. I know it's delaying the inevitable but I want to enjoy this vacation!

Lol Soar thats something my DH would do, he knows you well obviously!! hahaha. I would have looked in a moment of weakness at 3am in the morning.

I hope your intuition is wrong and totally understand wanting to delay if it may be less than ideal news. fx for you, can't wait until Monday now.

beadin I was getting the same comments and was annoyed because it got my hopes up, but also because I felt people were not making honest accurate guesses, they were telling me what they thought I would want to hear, because I have two boys already. The (possibly) false hope was so hurtful. I wanted to either make an educated guess with you ladies on the nub, or just assume it was a boy, not be told by random people on the street its a girl, then get my hopes up based on nothing more than a thoughtless comment.

I would like to introduce to you all our perfect little GIRL. Scan went really well. No markers found but doesnt mean she doesnt have downs but looking good so far. Sonographer said she was perfect and it was a pleasure to take pics of her. Happy mummy and daddy here

People are funny arent they?

Occasionally peope, just 'get it' though. In my family we always do a baby sweepstake based on points for guessing date and time, weight and sex. This time my sister guessed girl even though her gut was telling her it was a boy and My mum said boy as she didn't want to get my hopes up. i just love the fact that they both thought soooo much about my GD that they did that.

They are so much nicer than the person who wished me a girl because "your boys are such monsters!" I laughed it off but they were so lucky not to get a hormonal outburst! I have of course wished the same thing for the same reason but they are MY monsters dammit!

Nita...I think that we are in the same boat of waiting to see what our babies come home with...no markers here for Down's, but due to the kidney/bladder concerns, there is increased risk of chromosomal issues. Congrats on your little cutie!!!!!

Alrighty ladies we are off for our vacation! No Internet or cell phone service where we are going! Sounds crazy but its true! Taking a calling card so we can chat with the boys everyday tho! So I will see you all Monday with an update on gender!
