Im thinking I feel dramatically better today... I don't want to jinx it tho... I go for follow up tomorrow along with Lennon for his first check up... They weighed him at the hospital on sunday lol the resident made a mistake was supposed to weigh me it I think and weighed the baby I could hear the drs having a good laugh over that lmao... He weighed 8.10 and was 8 lbs on thurs so he is quickly packing on the weight![]()
For those who had their babies and it's your last... Are you feeling sad? You only realize how much of the newborn phase your forget when you have another ... I wonder of I will look at my grand babies the same way I look at my own babies... In my head I doubt it... DH is getting his big V done in October and I def want it done but what if I want another in 10 years... I'm only 26... I know he wouldn't get it reversed nor could I really expect that seeing that we've really had enough kids ...

Glad you had good news WAG, are you feeling any better? x
LadyL glad you were allowed home, staying in hospital isnt nice, much better to be at home x
Sadly we dont get on with our neighbors but we have 4 friends on call to have the boys at the drop of a hat (they are all within a 10min drive too), they do all have children of their own so may not be at home but i'm sure 1 of them will be available if need be. I didnt even think about calling an ambulance but i will be doing if i dont think ill make it in a taxi. I have my midwife next tue but my usual midwife has gone to work at a different docs so i've had a different one each time since 32 weeks, i've explained my fears too them and they really dont seem to care. All they say is "its for the best and your in good hands" and thats it.Love my boys lots and lots 20092011

Say you fear a panic attack during the procedure and see if there is anything safe to keep u calm during it... That's terrible that they are being insensitive of your fears

Thanks ladies I suppose it could be worse and ive been very fortunate to have such a smooth pregnancy. I went back to a drop in midwife today as my legs resemble the elephant man aswell as a puffy face! Im ready now for this little lady to arrive, ive started on the fresh pineapple and been on my exercise ball for an hour an evening the past two nights. Position of my cervix is still high but after a good root whilst in the bath I can feel its very soft, short and quite a little open (although im not a midwife so have no idea what signs that shows) probably none lol. Still not had a show which id had a few by 36 weeks with DD1, im 38weeks today. Suppose she will come when she is well and ready
! Is there any of us ladies left having signs of your body preparing? Iv had the odd low dull pains, 2 evenings of heart burn (first for this pregnancy as ive had none) x

I've been feeling period cramps lately and she must have dropped because she is now so low into my pelvis that my hips are in constant pain even when I am lying in bed, there is now no relief from this misery! I'm 37 weeks on Friday, I wish they could induce at 38 weeks, but they wont even try until 39 weeks. Im already at a 3 and 80% dilated so maybe by some miracle she will come on her own before the induction date........Im not holding my breath!!

DLTAG I have had 3 c-sections now and each has been very different. I completely understand your fear of the procedure. When I was PG with DS1 a c-section was the LAST thing I wanted. It was my biggest fear and of coarse... his birth ended in c-section. I don't know how they are done where you are but if you want to ask me any questions feel free to ask away.

WAG--Lennon is too cute!!! He looks big and older than he really is. How much was he again at birth? I am so glad to hear that you have bonded so well with him and that things are alright with Ezra. How is the rest of the family adjusting?
I don't know how these things are for everyone else but my pregnancies seem to be way easier (at least the last two) than my recoveries. This time around I am plagued by terrible hemmorhoids that I think have actually thrombosed. It was so bad yesterday I wanted to cry. I just want to savor every minute of this precious all too fleeting newborn phase and the sheer physical pain doesn't allow me to do that. I have been on constant rotations of tylenol and motrin and now a special medication for the hemmies that will hopefully kick in soon.
Other than that things are going well though. Nursing, albeit still painful, is going a lot better than with the other two boys. Evan went from 8lbs4oz at birth to 7lbs11oz at discharge but then two days later at his first pedi checkup he had already gained back 2 oz! I spent over an hour today with a lactation consultant because he does have a recessive chin but she said we are doing a perfect job, given the slight challenge (his bottom gum rubs on the bottom part of my nipple, gouging it a bit, ouch).
My biggest concern right now is keeping Evan healthy because DS1 and DH have come down with a cold and are really showing symptoms as of today. I am beyond anxious and paranoid. DS1 lowered his face all the way to Evan's face this morning and it was too late for me to stop him.
Tomorrow I will try to catch up with everyone else on here. Evan is definitely a cluster feeder. We've had 8 and 5 hr nursing marathons (literally less than 5 min breaks between sides, not sure where he gets more milk from but he is happy when attached to me).12/18/08
