I'm up again at 4am! Right now its 5:15 so I have given up in sleeping. Is anyone or has anyone dealt with insomnia before during pregnancy? I can go to sleep but can't stay asleep! Any remedies?

No remedies....just lots of empathy!! This has been the only pregnancy this way and I am just waiting for mat leave when it doesn't matter if I am tired! I just stay up near the end and try to go to bed a little earlier....it is way better than after we found out about her health issues and my brother's accident....I was up every night for 2 weeks for at least 2-3 hours in the middle of the night.
What are you up to today??? It is my DS1 first day of kindergarten...he is so ready for school and I am excited for him!!!!

Ladybug-Awww that's so exciting to have a kindergartner!!!! I am sure he is having a blast!!! I am sure you were sitting there wondering where the time has gone! This sleeping thing has really thrown me for a loop! I think I can I think I can! I told myself I don't need more than 5 hours sleep today anyway! Haha!

So with everyone who knows what their having, was your mothers instinct right? And we're not talking the "it just can't be a .... So its probably a ..." I'm meaning deep down true honest heart feelings.

I really don't think I believe in it but curious to hear what others thought. With DS1 I just knew he'd be a boy, and more because I wanted a girl I just knew it wouldn't happen. DS2 I went a little back and forth but it was only because all relatives were having their second boy so I thought someone had to have the girl, but I still think I just knew boy. (And my sister was wrongly told boy early and ended up having the girl lol)

But with both I feel like it was more a dooms day mindset. I wanted that girl so bad just to know I had one that I expected it wouldn't happen because I wanted it too (I'm a little pessimistic lol)

I was totally wrong - i changed my mind every day and saw imaginary penises at the scans. Doomsday guilty as charged!

With my first I felt he was a boy and we went surprised to discover he was when he was born. I had a very boy bump and believed in all of the old wives tales... My second I did have moments where I thought girl but not sure if that was more to do with wanting a girl. This time I did feel very strongly girl but I think that was due to swaying, and also a friend who is a bit psychic telling me Id have a girl. It was his feeling that gave me the most confidence actually. Even though typically that's not the sort of thing I'm into or believe. This man is different, special.
Anyway with all that being said and 3 or so scans suggesting girl the fear has crept in and I can't help but wonder if a willy has grown!!

Soar - Oh no! Hope you're sleeping better now. I have a good friend who dealt with insomnia during her pregnancies, and ugh, it sounds terrible! Hope it improves soon. On a brighter note, have you gone shopping yet??

Mother's intuition - Mine was way off. Thought for sure DS3 was a girl, and same with DS4. Obviously, my desire for a girl clouded everything!

AFM - Had an extremely tough weekend last weekend, but once again, DH was amazing and had just the right words to say. Oh so thankful for him! Trying to let go of my dreams at this point, and just trust God's perfect plan for our family. I know in my heart it's what's best. I know it will be a process to get over GD, but I am confident I'll get there.

Totally went shopping today! Unfortunately didn't have much time, but got a few cute little things, and am glad I am having my first winter baby so I actually NEED to shop! Woohoo!

I can share TODAY that my intuition was WAY off, found out we are having a baby BOY after all the stressing. I cannot believe I was so off, I honestly felt certain that it was another girl!

Rainbow, glad your hubby is so great and you are feeling a bit better.

Because we are going team green this time we are getting rid of all the baby clothes and I will buy some neutral stuff. Bought one little girl and one little boy outfit for baby's first outfit (the boy outfit was that little sleep gro GeCon has in her avatar.

Enjoy all that retail therapy. Winter clothes are soooooo cute

Rainbow-I think your DH wins the best Husband award. He sounds so amazing! You are very lucky!

Black&Gold-my intuition with DS1and2 was correct I knew they were both boys. With this baby I really thought she was another boy bc I just assumed I wouldn't get a DD. Plus I wouldn't really look at this baby objectively. I told myself everything looked like it was a boy even if there was a girl sign I always turned it around. Weird but true!

AFM-this week has been crazy DS1 started preschool and DS2 started gym class and we are full speed ahead. I forgot how busy it gets when all the programs start up again. Today I feel like a million bucks I slept until 7:30am! I haven't done that in forever! Went to the dr Thursday for a check up. My blood pressure is stable at the moment. I am hoping to keep it that way. Really trying to drink tons of water and lay on my left side whenever I possibly can. Seems to be doing the trick! Fingers crossed I can keep bed rest at bay this time around!
