Anyone else feel like their body is really starting to gear up for labor? I don't really know how to explain how I feel. I don't think I'm in labor, but I do feel like my body is changing. I've been having Braxton Hicks since around 24 weeks, but the tightness and pain were always localized right in the front. Here recently I've started experiencing different contractions. These are painful in the front, but then the pain also shoots up through my butt and into my back (sorry if that's tmi). Last night I had a few of them and actually felt nauseated for a while. And in general I just don't quite feel right. I honestly don't think I'm going to go into labor on my own, but I have moments where it almost feels like the real deal.

I feel exactly the same way! My BH are getting stronger and closer together then go away. They have been different that they were a few weeks ago too. My last appt the doc said I was 1 cm and 50%, soft cervix, plus a -2. I know you can be like that for a while, but at least it means that my body is gearing up.

I know someone who just last week had her baby, she was asking for tips to start labour for the same reasons and she did get given a sweep. It probably varies between doctors and midwifes etc but it is a possibility.

Katie I feel so much more pressure lately, braxton hicks much more often and feel tighter, period pains, the pains are going into my back as well. They don't routinely check your cervix here so not sure what that it doing. But things are definitely feeling different. And I just feel weird at times, but I've had a cold for about 3 weeks now, I thought it was going last week but it just changed.

Lola, I was pescribed theinternal pessaryfor thrush at about 34 weeks with last baby and omg it caused m ehorrific pain for about 4 days, I thought I had started early labor and has dh standing by at work. The pain would come in waves but was only afecting one side, soo strange?? It did eventually go like I say after about 4 days but I would never use it again!! Bread is the cause for me, its the super yeast they use which the body cant break down!
Lola, just being nosey! but what did your ex dh go on to have?? His new gf was due back on the ig days wasnt she???

No change to my cervix from last week but I did drop 4 pounds. I've been in terrible pain lately. My left hip/groin and lady area is just killing me!!! I feel like these next 12 days are going to creep by.
