    Question re Abstaining

to abstain, how many days should you abstain for? is 10 days enough or should it be mre?

does the lenght of time change if DH is taking licorice root? or if he is 36 (or older) for eg.

we get pg very easily, i believe his count is just fine, always XY of course! but i have never abstained before?

    thanks xxx

Im no expert, but from what I gather its anywhere between 7 & 14 days, but hopefully someone else will chime in! Im also pretty sure that if DH is over 36 then LR isn't recommended. HTH!

7-10 days, no more than 14.

I do not recommend abstain for any guys over 35 and I don't love abstain with LR, even tho I have people do it sometimes. I know that health is paramount for you guys and I do not think LE + abstain is the healthiest, safest option.

Thanks Automic, i know all this will be in my personal
Plan when i purchase it, but if we've concieved another boy (in the last 3 months)
Can we try just a lower dose of LR?

I know our fertility can change all the time, but we've had 5 pregnancies now spanning 5 years, and never really had to put much into our efforts, we appear to be really fertile.

If its better not to be abstaining, is the diet going to be the most important thibg for our sway.

I honestly dont think with 4 young children we'd manage frequent release?

    Xx thanks

It's not just about the abstaining, it's that the sperm can get icky and unhealthy. you absolutely can use LR at lower or normal dose, but it is not the healthiest and safest option.

Diet and exercise and lifestyle changes are ALWAYS the most important things for your sway. All the worry and stress about frequency patterns is totally unwarranted because they barely sway compared to the rest of it.

Thanks Atomic - sorry to butt in, but we are planning LR (Hubby will soon be going into second lot) and an abstain. I will be coming off BCP after tomorrow and just have to wait it out for O to arrive - so don't know how long our abstain might be. Abstain is the best option for us, so would really appreciate your opinion on how you would alter this to make it more healthy/safe. TIA! X
