Congrats Aussie and ELP on the arrival of your little men.
ELP - was this your first caesarean? Hope all is okay.
MOB - Ruby is filling out nicely now as well, I'm taking her to the health nurse tomorrow so we'll see how much she's put on then. Yay for another baby as well!

Congrats ELP. I bet you have been asked many times but is this it for you now? Is your family balanced?

Thankyou ladies
Yes, 1st cesaerean, slightly disappointed with how it came about but me and little fella all good and I've healed pretty well already so if it came around again as a planned or emergency then I wouldn't mind all that much, I would it would just need more organisation put in place for the few days afterwards ie full cupboards, a few frozen meals, empty laundry basket and some walk to school arrangements! So as you can read the door has definitely NOT been shut to more members of the family lol!!!
But yes! we are now a fully balanced family with a five-a-side team of both pink and blues! (My ideal was always a full blue team I'm not a very good girly mum lol)
I'm gonna write up a birth story just so I've pieced it together somewhere, toooo much gas and air going on!!!! But heres a pic of little man and I'll add a recent one later on, the kids think he bares a striking resemblance to the Argos alien baby in recent pictures which UK mums have prob seen!!!Last edited by ELP; November 13th, 2013 at 07:36 AM.

Toward the end of my pregnancy I noticed a small lump in my left breast. It grew very quickly and I felt it was necessary to point out to my doctor. I spoke to her about it on Monday during my 6 week check-up and she was a little concerned. I was hopeful that it was just a clogged duct, but after checking it out the doctor told me it was not that. She decided to send me to an oncologist. Because I am nursing I couldn't have a mammogram, so instead my doctor wanted me to have an ultrasound done. The next morning I met with a wonderful oncologist (who is absolutely fantastic because she squeezed me in at 7:30 in the morning rather than make me wait until December). The mass was so large that she was not able to see the entire thing at once. She told me she thought it might be a fibroadenoma or phyllodes tumor but a biopsy needed to be done to rule out anything malignant. The procedure was fairly quick and painless (with the exception of a little stinging while she numbed the area). We talked about the need to remove the mass because of it's size and I went home preparing to have surgery at some point. This evening they called to inform me that what I have is a lactating adenoma. It is a benign tumor and it should go down on its own (which would mean no surgery). I am so relieved!

Oh wow how scary for you Katie. What a relief that it wont need surgery.
Elp, the Argos Alien baby lmao, now Seth is cooing etc he is likened to the Toy Story Aliens!
I can't believe Seth is a month old already! We have smiles and little noises and he really watches what's going on around him.Feb 2006
