I know - it's so hard to hide this diet from people! I told my Mom and my three best friends since they'd definitely have noticed me eating differently. It's also nice to have people IRL to complain to about the diet!

My sister was on to me just because I was using unsalted butter! I may also have asked her a 'random' question about her lifestyle before she conceived her daughter lol!
Happy Birthday to your DS too mocha! DS2 was 4 last Wednesday. DS1 is 5 and DS3 is 20 months
Well done swish, isn't it funny that brown bread (which we all see as a healthy option) has so much salt in it!2005

I REALLY want to ask my sister if she did anything differently to get dd, she had 2 DS first. I know she didn't sway but I think she inadvertently did things like lose weight and exercise more. I'd love to know if, looking back, she did anything differently. She does drink alot of milk but i don't think that's changed for any of her pregnancies. I wish I could tell her but I think she'd worry and also think I was slightly mad!!!! Hopefully I won't have to lie for much longer. Line darker on opk today, now all I need is dh home!!!!!!!!!!!

My Mom had three boys before she had me, so I was grilling her to see if she did anything different. She claims that everything stayed the same, but I wonder if being the Mom of 3 young boys back in the 60s/early70s when Dads didn't lift a finger to help made her lose weight and that's what made a difference. I know that after I was born she said she was the thinnest she'd ever been.

My mum has said the same too mocha! I daren't ask her any specific questions because I know she'll guess (and they'd never say anything but I get the impression they'd think 4 children too many!) but she was incredibly slim so I don't imagine she ate alot! I also posted on FB the other day that I was hiding in the kitchen eating tutti fruttis and she responded and said she ate loads of them when pregnant so she must have had a sweet tooth! I imagine from her personality and her relationship with my dad that her testosterone isn't as high as mine either - my dad has always treated her like a princess! My dad also smoked and went to the pub regularly ... They actually wanted to try for a third baby and were looking in to swaying for a boy but my mum got cervical cancer and had to have a hysterectomy. She was only 29. On a happier note, they now have 4 grandsons!
Does anybody else notice that larger, unhealthier men tend to father daughters? DH is not eating so well lately (because I'm not cooking for him lol!) and is drinking my share of booze now I'm off it and I'm not too bothered about stopping him because he's naturally very muscly and more fat and less muscle is surely good?!
Good luck swish, hopefully the stress of DH being away will delay ovulationI'm terrified of actually carrying my sway out, it'll be weird having just planned it for so long - and I'm not looking forward to so much BDing!

That's true, zanacal - my DH is very thin and athletic. I wonder if men with lots of testosterone are drawn to sports and as a result are thinner/muscular and take better care of themselves? I'm trying to think of my friends with daughters and what their husbands look like...most aren't overweight per say, but I wouldn't call them athletic...including my two brothers who have daughters.

I ended up being out late last night, so I'm just updating yesterday's menu today. It wasn't a good day eating wise - it was ds2's birthday as I mentioned before, so I ate some regular pizza and cake.
Breakfast: coffee, skinny cappuccino
Lunch: 2 small square slices of cheese pizza, small piece of chocolate cake
Supper: pasta with unsalted butter and parmesan, watermelon
Snack: blueberry and lemon sobert (Yum!), strawberries
Calories: 1513
Protein: 51.6
Fat: 33.3
Sodium: 950
I'm sure my totals were more than that since I just used my best estimates for how much I ate. Oh well, good thing there's not a birthday party every day. At least I kept to my no snacking during the day rule and I also had small portions of everything, so hopefully my blood sugar still got low. Today I'm going to try to be really good - particularly with my protein intake since that's been high the past couple of days.
