I did this after reading the post! She said I would concieve in July or August of this year (which happens to be when we are trying our first attempts) and it would be a girl!!!! Whoooo Hoooo super excited! It was well worth the 5 bucks!

I would not pay for a silly guess. No way some1 can tell you the gender of your next kid just because she know your name and dob. If it happens to be true she got a lucky guess.
We can all open a website like this.

If this person is internet crafty they can just do a search... email address (same as my sign on), your real name (o look I have 2 boys on FB so I want a girl), or other types of searching. There are so many ways to find info on someone and make a guess but a person with a true gift never charges because a gift like that was given at no charge and that person should never charge anyone to use it!

ok, I have been thinking about these psychics. My mother in law and her best friend went through a stage a few years ago where they went to a lot of psychics. They talked me into going to one and I did have to pay for the reading. I agree though that if they really had a gift then they wouldn't charge for this gift. I have to say that I don't really think that anything this psychic predicted has actually come true and if it did then it was something very general.

My reading from 'Ruby' said that I would either conceive or get a positive test in November this year OR give birth next November to a boy. I have done some goggling on these ttc psychics and they say that they allow themselves to be out with their prediction by 1 or possibly 2 months. So this would mean that she has given me a 6-8 month period in which to get pregnant. I also read that these psychics are normally just happy to get the conception date correct even if they don't get the gender correct. So obviously if people believe the psychic they will think well I am going to get preggy in such and such a month so they will go at it like rabbits in order to get pregnant and as you actually get quite a few months to conceive its quite likely that the psychic will be correct with the conception date give or take a month. They then have a 50:50 chance of getting the gender correct.

So I do think that its just bull but I think really wanting a particular gender plays with your head and you are willing to grab at any slight hope that you will get your desired gender. Yes I am a bit peeved she said boy and I know its all just silly random guesses but I still think what if she really can see the future!! Gender desire really messes with your ability to think rationally.

Anyway just to note that Ruby actually has had a bad rap in the past pretending that she was ttc and had a great reading from 'Ruby' and then getting other ladies to pay for a reading from her i.e. Ruby. There was a big sob story as to why she did this but I think its better to save your money and not even go near psychics as they will all give you different answers anyway so one of them has to be eventually right with their guesses!!
