You made my decision for me, zanacal! While buying groceries today I picked up a bag of low fat salt & vinegar chips (crisps) and thought I'd have them as a treat on a day when I have enough room left in my sodium budget...then I started to second guess myself. I'm finding lately that by day's end I've only had about 400-500mg of sodium, so it would be easy for me to have a treat like that. Salt & vinegar chips are one of my favourite things in the world - it would be soooo nice to have a treat like that some evening!

I won't buy them as a matter of course because I too love them and it's what I would have eaten a lot of pre girl diet - but they were left over from DS2's party and when I read the packet I was excited that I could have a bag as a treat!

I have an unopened tube of Pringles in the cupboard I keep eyeing, but my worry is that if I start eating them I won't be able to stop. Instead I bought a small bag where the serving size listed in the nutritional info is the whole bag. That way I can eat the whole thing and when they're gone, they're gone.

So I have fallen into my own diet....

Over the last weekend I ate Red Robin, NV Buffets, donuts, and even breakfast. After a trip to Red Robin were I ate a burger and two straw/lemonaide my blood sugar hit the roof and I slept from 2pm-9am. I am still holding off breakfast and eating 2 meals a day or 3 very small meals. I am back on fake sugar, very low salt, no carbs, and no dairy. Since I am TTC now I am not to worried about limiting so much. I only eat 3-4oz of chicken, turkey, or pork for dinner and veggies. Afternoon meal is rice cereal with rice milk and fruit. Still having crystal light, diet soda, and aspartame coffee like before.

I'm sure a little cheating here and there isn't the end of the world, purple. It sounds like you're back on track now.

    Here's my day:

    Breakfast: coffee
Lunch: swiss cheese sandwich (I splurged a little and ate store bought bread - it's Weight Watchers and relatively low in sodium), grapes
Supper: spinach & ricotta cannelloni, steamed broccoli, low fat fruit creme cookies
    Snack: strawberries & grapes

The cannelloni was a big splurge. I used store bought pasta sauce and mozzarella, but I used each very sparsely. I measured all ingredients carefully so I could figure out the nutritional info per serving. It was very yummy and definitely tasted like a 'real' meal, which was nice. I think on a normal day I could have easily eaten this and stayed within the guidelines (my sodium by the end of the day is normally well below 700mg), but because I had a bit of a splurge with that cheese sandwich at lunch I'm slightly over for sodium today. No salt & vinegar chips for me tonight .

    Good going everyone

I lost another 3lb this week, so 16.5lb in 4 weeks now. Very pleased with this given it was DS2's birthday and party and that I currently have AF so am bloated!

Today is my wedding anniversary and I really struggled to think of a meal we could both eat. There are some foods which aren't ideal but I'm at 1160 cals, 34g protein and 580mg sodium so that's all good!

    Skimmed milk for coffees
Lunch: side salad - I went out for that meal I mentioned yesterday and when it arrived it was all deep fried and swimming in oil so I didn't even taste it, just ate the salad garnish!
Snack: (Late lunch really!) Croissant, 2 custard cremes, 1 boiled sweet
Dinner: Ceasar salad - I'm having lettuce, tomato and cucumber, tofu fried in Fry Light and with a salt free seasoning (like Mrs Dash I believe), croutons, parmesan and light ceasar dressing. Followed by strawberries, squirty cream and a meringue nest. 5 fl oz sparkling wine

DH is having chicken instead of tofu and a garlic bread side as well as the rest of the bottle of wine!!

I'm addicted too swish! They're so tasty and they last ages because they're so chewy!

Are you eating Snack-a-jacks? I noticed today that they're suddenly made from wholegrain rice. Thanks for making them healthier then!! I'll still eat them, think they're quite a good option.

We have a lady at work who has a little girl and she has 2 sugars in her tea and eats sweets all day long but not a lot else and today she also mentioned that she never eats breakfast - ha!

Are you excited that your attempt is coming up? I get the feeling that I'll be talking to myself here soon!

Lol! Fx I won't be posting my daily food soon! Very excited about the attempt just so want it to be successful, I'm going to struggle with another cycle eating like this, which for me is another 5 weeks as I have long cycles. Mut try to be positive!! The rice cakes are from m and s, they're delicious and come in lots of flavours, some have more salt than others.
