Question UK Mums: Recommended Maternity Wear?

I'm thinking I really need to start looking at getting maternity bras and will need to look into nursing bras too - I'm pretty sure I've put on a cup size since the weekend! Do any good shops do a measuring service? I don't really want to measure myself - done that before and I think I held the tape funny and was way out! Can you recommend any good bra stockists?

That said, I also ought to look into something to wear at the hospital that I can breastfeed in. Any pretty/cute dresses or tops you can recommend?

    Hi bunnywabbit.

I know that mothercare do an bra measuring service instore. I used their blooming marvellous bras for both my pregnancies and afterwards. They also do a great tummy control nursing top ( for when you are out and about)

Also seraphine, peeks or milk for cute tops to order on line. Hot milk for cute hospital wear.

I really like the Elle macpherson bras. I bought them from fig leaves.com.
There are some that a really supportive and comfortable, great for maternity and nursing. They are cotton with some lace at the top and come up quite high so are quite modest. It looks like a vest if they show under a top. Really comfortable to sleep in too. They also have some real pretty lacy ones but not as comfy.

Some of the maternity clothes I saw looked like they were even too old for my mum who is almost 60!My favorite maternity shop is Mommyliciousmaternity as it has everything affordable! You can get all your maternity bras etc there as well, its so much easier being able to get everything in one place with so much else to do!
