Hi girls,
Just wondering for how long you are planning or taking folic acid? The recommendations here are 12 weeks, I am almost in my third trimester....
Just want to know about the recommendations you have got...

I had 3x/day pre-conception and started multivitamins on BFP, so after BFP it was 1 multivitamin pill + 2 Folic Acid. When I got to 12 weeks I started weaning off and now I'm only having multivitamins.

You need to wean back to the amount in a prenatal at the end of the first trimester. You should not be taking the higher amount at this point in pregnancy and you need to wean off right away. Don't just stop taking it, wean back gradually.

I have only been taking 0,4 mg after 1st trimester. 1st trimester I was taking prenatals (0,4mg) and another 0,4 mg per day. Then switched to only one pill together with omega 3 in 2nd trimester.
